Time Cat: The Remarkable Journeys of Jason and Gareth

Excellent for Young and Young at Heart
My granddaughter was so thrilled by this book, she was very insistent that I should read it. She loves cats, so at first I wasn't sure if that was the only reason she kept saying I needed to read it. To encourage her reading and show her that I want to be involved with her more I bought it and read it. Since the copy she read was a library copy, I figured it was worth having a copy for some of my other grandchildren to read as well. I completely agree with my granddaughter that this book is an excellent read. Not only does it have adventure and contain history, it also softly points out morals and values. While some might not notice the morals and values, I certainly did and included that when I engaged in talking with my granddaughter about the book. My daughter was also so impressed by the author that we've both begun purchasing more of his books. I think my grandchildren will be excited to read more from this author. They range in age from 10-13 years old, but it's a fun read for adults as well as my sister also read it and really enjoyed it.

Delightful
though straight forward children's book written by an often underappreciate master of the genre. It will teach them quite a bit of history without them realizing it, which is a bonus.

Purrfect transition book for my Cat-loving nine year old
My son is at the age where we’re trying to make the jump from shorter books with occasional illustrations, to more traditional young reader novels. It’s been hard to find something that holds his interest enough, to read alone…and this checked all of the boxes. The chapters are perfectly sized, as well!

Great book!
This is a book that spans the interest of many ages. My oldest son, now 36 loved this book, as did his five younger siblings. Now the grandchildren are reading it and loving it too! For early readers ages 7 to ten, tho I admit, I like it too!

Don't read the last 2 pages.
A fun adventure that my students always enjoy, until the last 2 pages. **Spoiler alert** This is the WORST ending that authors use. If I let them read the last 2 pages, we will usually write our own ending to the story.

is number 1 on my list for Middle Grade Fiction
This book is number 1 on my list for Middle Grade Fiction. I read it for the first time when I was thirteen. It was after I felt comfortable that I could read in English and understand what I was reading. I found the book in the school library and spent my breaks reading. It's a quick read with lots of lessons for young boys and girls. I love how the adventure feels exciting and both learn something. I bought myself a copy a couple of days ago and look forward to reading it for my son when he will be old enough to listen about Egypt, Peru, and the other places Jason visits with Gareth.

Childhood Book
I loved this book as a child and it still holds up today! I have been reading it at night to my son who loves the Kitty and it's fun to share something I loved with him. My only qualm is that I had a page missing. I think for it to be classified as good condition or above it should have all of the pages. It might not bother some, but I am a book nerd + OCD haha.

3) loved this book
My kids (9,7,3) loved this book. My kids love history so because many historical places and events were mentioned they felt engaged. It was a read aloud bedtime story book for them. More importantly, it was interesting enough to keep my husband, the bedtime story reader, motivated to finish the book.

Lovely book
This is a delightful, heart warming book. I am 80 years old and enjoyed it enormously although it has been classified as being for young people.
