Can you use this with hand percussion? no sticks? and does it sound good?

i don't recommend this for hand percussion and i'm not to keen with the sound of the 14" cymbal. the hi hats sounds pretty nice and bright mic up and the splash has a really nice sound but not for hand playing. you might get away with the splash for hand hitting especially if using a microphone
