I bought this in 2021. It’s June 2026 and it just died. But! I also think it cracked in my suitcase bc I didn’t want to spend 5 weeks in a hotel without my tea! Never had a single issue with the tea pot. Worked perfect. Both for steeping with hot water and on the electric stove top.

**EDIT (2023) - been using this for over 5 years now and still love it. My partner carved me a new lid handle out of wood (isn't it cute?) and the lid stopped getting stuck eventually. I no longer boil the water in it (because the side handle would get too hot), just boil it separately and pour it in over the tea (which is better for steeping), but I do sometimes reheat the tea on the stove. An occasional deep cleaning with barkeeper's friend or baking soda keeps everything stain free and sparkling clean! Still looks good as new (well perhaps even better <3 ). ORIGINAL (2019) - Pros- Beautiful Convenient Keeps tea hot No need for both a kettle and a tea pot. 2-in-1! Durable. I use it on a daily basis. Owned it for well over a year now. Cons- The lid/knob gets pretty hot. I have to open it with a towel or else I'll get burned by hot metal and steam. Also the lid sometimes gets stuck if you don't place it in straight. It's only an issue when it's hot because, well, it's hot, and stuck, and a tad tricky to remove with a towel. But this is kinda minor. Doesn't happen often. Also there always ends up a tiny bit of liquid that refuses to pour out because of the lip/edge between the metal bottom and glass upper body. Isn't really an issue though. It gets out easy enough while rinsing/washing if you hold the pot open and upside down and shake it a bit (but I'm obviously not going to do that when pouring tea!) So I would say it would be a 10/10 if they redesigned the lid. For now it's 9/10. To be honest, I could probably find a little knob that's thermally resistant and replace the one that's on the teapot now. I'm just too lazy :P Would recommend.

This is the best teapot I've ever owned. It's easy to clean, since it doesn't have a long pour spout (be careful around the removable metal pieces, though - those are sharper than they look on the inside parts and will cut you if you're not careful), it's extra resistant to cracking from a hot to cold surface (as is what happened to my previous borosilicate teapot) due to its type of glass and the super smart metal base, and the handle is large and far enough away from the burner to not get heated too much to grab bare-handed even when it's been boiling for minutes. The infuser is also great, and only the very finest dusty tea leaf detritus makes it through, which I'm not going to fault this for since you can't really go much finer than this without also using a paper filter or something. i have the 42oz v2. my experience with pyrex is that its thick glass. this pot is made of deceptively thinner glass. i immediately filled it to half and put it on the electric glass top stove. it came to a boil without any problem. it is well constructed, and worth the money. 42 oz of liquid will fill it to the rim, and unsuitable for boiling; it will splash over easily. 42oz will do for brewing only. when boiling the handle will get warm, just use common sense, it is not insulated. i prefer the sexy sleek look of glass, instead of a plastic or bakelite handle. the strainer is not as fragile as i thought it would be, but care must be observed when handling it. it is easy to lift out when you brew looks right. this too, will be warm. the hinged stainless cover and frame is also easily removed. i dont see how, but should it ever get loose, just bend the tabs to get the frame tightened. i will recommend this.
