Nutty, roasty, delicious!
Delicate, fuzzy, large leaves. Produces a tea of lovely golden brown color, with a solid body. This is a fantastic golden monkey. I make it strong for maximum flavor. Temp around 185F-195F for 3 min produces a delicious tea with no harsh finish or bitterness. Flavorful enough for a 2nd steeping as well.

Rather Good Stuff
A little pricey but I think it is worth it. It is not a great tea but it is a very good one. I think that most people that like black tea will enjoy this very much. I am pretty much being a tea snob about it not being a "great tea". What I mean is that I have had some very special teas that don't come along all of the time, but for most situations this one is very good stuff.

Smooth, flavorful cup
I love this tea. It has a smooth taste, and I usually steep two cups from each serving. It's almost impossible to get a bad tasting cup from these leaves. It's usually the best part of my morning routine.

Great tea
I love Golden Monkey tea (another name for this tea) and this is a tasty version of it. I like to have it with my breakfast. Very satisfied with both the product and the vendor who provided excellent service and also sent me an email about the tea.

Smooth and sweet
This Yunnan black or “Diān Hóng” (滇红) tea is of high quality, with a good proportion of hairy golden tips. It has been carefully handled so that the leaves are mostly unbroken and it has a light sweet earthy fragrance with a hint of dried stone fruit. The brewed tea has a beautiful reddish-gold honey color and a clean sweet fragrance in the cup with what seems to be a hint of honey, but that may be the eye tricking the nose. The fragrance has a surprising earthiness when concentrated in the pot. The flavor has a sweetness that is almost floral, a complex but not overwhelming maltiness, and some pleasant, lingering peppery highlights. The tea is extremely smooth, with only a gentle astringency even after steeping for a while. It is well-balanced, easy to drink, and needs neither milk nor sweetener. The tea is packed in a resealable bag that holds 100 g or over 3.5 oz. Valley of Tea provided sample tea for evaluation and review.rovided sample tea for evaluation and review.

Very little aroma or flavor
The Yunnan Dianhong I received was stale. Neither the leaves nor the brew had perceptible aroma.
