Berlebach Dovetail Clamp with Pressure Shoe for Mounting Vixen/Celestron (B5006010)

Products from Berlebach have a reputation for excellence which is why I purchased this for far more than the competition charges for similar products. However even a good product can have a defective part which was the case with the one I bought. Only 4 months after I bought it, it literally fell apart when switching telescopes. I am very careful with all my equipment and feel in no way could it have been negligence on my part. However after contacting the manufacturer the best they would offer me was to send me a new screw. here is the reply I sent them to their generous (sarcasm) offer. "You are assuming that I have the tools required to remove the broken piece of screw in order to replace the screw with a new one. I do not and even if I did there is no guarantee that it would be successful with such a very small screw. A brand new product with such a great reputation can of course occasionally have defective parts, but a customer should not have to repair such a product even if they could. Thanks but no thanks. I will inform Amazon that your warranty is false and see if they can offer me any real help. Good day ". Do they make a good product? Quite possibly, but if you should happen to get a defective one like I did know this...Their warranty is nonexistent and you will be left out in the cold.
