This pedal works exactly as I hoped. It feels solid and responsive, and the piano-style design makes it much more comfortable than a basic square sustain pedal. The half-pedal support is a nice feature, especially for more expressive playing, and it pairs very well with my Yamaha keyboard. Setup was simple, and the build quality feels reliable. Overall, this is a great upgrade and I’m very happy with the purchase.

I expected high quality from Yamaha, but this pedal started making a loud scraping sound every time it was pressed. Unacceptable for a new item at this price point. Returned it.

This pedal is silent, smooth and the feel is perfect for playing piano. However, be aware that the logic is inverted and thus your keyboard must have the capability to reverse the Sustain Pedal logic like mine a Roland XV88. For some reason when I use my XV88 to record a sequence on my Mac with Logic Pro X, I must have my pedal connected to my XV88 and the MIDI connection already connected to my MAC prior starting Logic Pro X our the sustain pedal will be screwed up. Also, since it is a multi-level sustain pedal, the sustain recording is continuous and thus it looks like the mod wheel recording. Because of that, on the score view of Logic Pro X the pedal symbol becomes multiple and difficult to read.
