Q: Can anybody explain what the Do-It-Yourself statement means on this product??

Hi Chelsea! The do-it-yourself (DIY) statement on the packaging refers to the ability to mix this SPF serum with your choice of moisturizer. Thus, turning your favorite moisturizer into an SPF! It's a versatile product and can be used alone as well.

Q: Has anyone else traveled with this new tube? Mine exploded all over!

I have travelled with this no less than 50 times in the seven years I’ve been using this. Not once has it ever busted or leaked.

Q: How well does this wear under makeup?

I think Andalou products are wonderful. The coverage is light and non-greasy. I layer them with other products that I like, but these are really my "base" for moisturizing and sun protection. They do not cause breakouts and feel clean and do not have a scent. I do not really wear make-up (allergies), but that being said, I have super sensitive skin, have many allergic reactions to many products, but have never had an issue with any Andalou product. I hope this helps.

The lotion itself comes out of the tube white but once it is rubbed into the skin it is clear (i.e., there is no tint). I find that it absorbs very well.
