Patriot Memory Burst Elite SATA 3 480GB SSD 2.5 Inch Solid State Drive

I purchased the Patriot Burst Elite 120GB SSD to use as a dedicated drive connected to my ASUS router running ASUSwrt-Merlin, primarily to store and run various scripts. I've been thoroughly impressed with its performance in this role! The speed of this SSD has made a significant difference in the execution time of my scripts. Tasks that previously took noticeably longer on a USB drive now complete much faster and more efficiently. This has really streamlined my home automation and network management processes. These days, if you have a slot for an NVMe, get that. If all you have is SATA, get this. Fast transfer, no moving parts and if you are replacing an old spinning hard drive, this will make your machine feel like a much newer version of that same machine. The difference between a spinning hard drive and the SSD is really big. Drives like this are cheap now. If you can remove your old drive, this one just slots in the exact same way. Super easy to install. Once installed, you treat it like any other drive, spinning or now. Works with all Windows and Linux type computers that have a SATA port.

Got it on sale. Arrived on time. Used it to replace a big old WD 500GB HDD that stopped working suddenly on my PC. Also added 8GB memory and replaced button battery for CMOS. Now everything is much faster. Good way to extend the life of an old but still very good PC.

Good budget SSD. Added to my older Dell laptop for a Linux experimantal build. Works great. Transfer speeds are pretty fast. Especially nice for the money.

I bought this to replace the mechanical hard drive in a friends old Lenovo laptop. She was complaining that it took so long for her laptop to boot up, that she could go do her chores while waiting. Before I replaced the drive, I wiped it clean and installed Linux Mint on it. That helped, but it was still pretty slow. I thought, for the low price of less than $12.00, it couldn't hurt to try a solid state drive. WOW. Pretty zippy for a drive that costs less than a wired mouse! I was amazed at how quickly the new operating system installed and how fast it now boots, 30 seconds versus many minutes. Completely silent. An easy one to one replacement with the original drive, for about the cost of a 64GB thumb drive. All I can say is: WOO HOO!

Hasta el momento no he tenido problemas con el ssd, inicia rápido los juegos ya que solo lo tengo para eso.

Worked on an old laptop that ran Win7, the added speed is much welcomed. No issues with drivers or performance. Works as it should.
