I purchased this following knee surgery as I was sitting too long and getting uncomfortable. I thought this would take the pressure off my tailbone. The pillow is really firm - too firm for my taste. It did receive the pressure from my tail bone but was far too uncomfortable to use for long periods.

I bought this pillow for my father who is disabled from a stoke. He is paralyzed down his right side and was recently admitted in the hospital with a fever and weakness. He developed bedsores from not being able to get out of bed, he can’t walk so he spends all his time sitting in a chair or wheelchair. This pillow was a miracle! He was able to sit without pressure on the areas where the bedsores are, allowing them to heal. My father loves it and even though the sores have healed, he prefers to sit on this pillow. I fell down my stairs and busted my tailbone so I haven’t been able to sit on anything for a long time. I couldn’t use this pillow for the first 10days after my fall, but after that it was a lifesaver. It’s currently in my car and has been the only reason I could drive my vehicle. The pain from a busted tailbone is excruciating so I was happy my fiancé got this for me.

Have had a sore tailbone for a few weeks now, plus a bee-sting on my backside that has been very slow to heal and causing me immense discomfort when sitting. This immediately relieved 99% of the pain in both my tailbone and buttock the moment I sat down on it. I cannot sufficiently describe what a relief it is to finally sit and work without agony. Worth every penny. Have sat on it already for 6 hours straight while working, no discomfort whatsoever. After about an hour of use I was accustom to its initial odd shape / feel (used to sitting on normal chair seats, not dougnut seats like this). Seems to be actual memory foam (shape reforms properly when I get off it). I would describe it as moderate firmness. Not hard or soft. Looks easy to clean, the cover is removeable (has a zipper). Best $40 I've spent in ages.

It's good, but very firm (which you know, is helpful, but just something to be aware of). I weigh about 150 and haven't noticed any issues with "sinking" into the cushion too much or it losing its shape. I noticed a bit of low back/tailbone pain initially but with good movement and stretching it seems to have settled out just fine. Would absolutely recommend to anyone dealing with hemorrhoids to give a bit of relief
