Fantastic stuff. Iv combed every day for over a week now and not one flea. Obviously i use a home spray other wise its pointless because of the cyle of eggs. Shes was unwell as others have made her druel badly running around upset which upset me. No skin irritation, just perfect. Shes one happy puddy 🐈 😻. And im well happyy too with results. Great value for 4months worth.easy to use. Came quick. Highly recommended thankyou .no bad smell either. This is one im sticking too.

Excellent protection for our cats at a very reasonable price

I rarely get round to writing reviews, but I wanted to do what I could to help anyone else struggling with a flea infestation. Advantage made an ENORMOUS difference to my flea infestation. I was using Frontline spot on. I had no idea it has a reputation for being ineffective! We noticed a couple of fleas right around the end of December, and I sprang into action flea treating the house. After 10 days, while this was reducing the flea population, it wasn't eliminating it. If you don't eliminate it, you're not really getting anywhere. From there I did extensive research on treatments I could use for my cat. After trying a useless, natural oil based spray, I turned my attention back to chemical treatments. I noticed that the ingredient in Advantage are completely different to those in Frontline and Bob Martin. It had been 2.5-3 weeks since I last applied Frontline, so having done as much research as possible on the safety of this, I applied the Advantage. My cat scratched for about 24 hours and from there her skin seemed to really calm down. What I like about this product is it kills fleas on the cat as well as larvae in the house wherever the cat goes. When treating a flea infestation, the eggs, larvae, and live fleas are not your problem. The problem is the pupae (cocoons) because flea sprays, flea bombs, and pet treatments won't kill them. They are impervious to everything and can live for a few months. The only way to eliminate them is by hoovering them up (but there is no way of knowing if you have got them all) or waiting for them to hatch, so the fleas can then be killed. This is why it's a bonus that Advantage kills larvae, because then they can't progress to becoming pupae. The only way to be sure you're killing pupae on hatching is to make your home and pet an uninhabitable environment for fleas. Flea sprays work for weeks/months on the home, and pet treatments such as this make your pet uninhabitable. But the pupae is the reason you could treat your cat and still see fleas weeks or months later - if your cat goes where there was some, they sense this, hatch, and jump on your cat. As long as you are regularly treating your cat then this shouldn't be anything to worry about. Other things I also like about Advantage: The application tubes actually easily dispense all of the product! It is safe to be applied weekly if required (per the IFU in the box). Weekly did feel too regular for me, so I waited 2 weeks. My cat was a little scratchy again towards the end of the first two weeks, so this felt right. I am now going to be going for 2-3 week intervals (dependent on observing her) until I feel more confident reducing it down to 3-4 weeks. This will depend on her scratchiness and whether I see any more fleas. This product was a huge game changer for me and I will be sticking with Advtange from now on.

This stuff always does the trick. For people saying it doesn't work I'd have to question whether they're applying it correctly or whether they're de-fleaing their house at the same time. It's very important that you apply this product on the skin as much as possible and try to avoid getting it on their fur to the best of your ability as it's mostly ineffective on their fur. I like these applicators as they don't scratch my cats skin. Some brands without the flat foil backed applicators that you snap to open, often leave sharp edges and I've caught my wriggly cats a couple of times with the sharp plastic. Not these ones though. They are great! Nice and safe. It's also really important that you're doing these regularly every four weeks for them to be fully effective. This was a pack of four and great value compared to some other brands. I've used these for years and been very happy with no issues.

Always buy this spot on monthly great price much cheaper than on high street works well to prevent fleas

Good product- but tends to wear off after a couple of weeks

I have used Advantage for a year and it worked brilliantly. But the past couple of months it stopped working the fleas became resistant. I dealt with the flea infestation in the house it caused and the cats are now on vet prescribed treatment which is stronger and the fleas are now now under control again. It will eventually stop working so keep an eye out.
