I love to make these miniature kits. I made this one for my mother in law for christmas and she loved it. However, I would only recommend this if you are a person who likes to do crafts and small detail work. If not, don't even bother because this will take you a long time and you will get frustrated with how small everything is. It took me about 8 hours to build this. I don't mind because it was for a gift and it was a nice way to keep myself occupied, I personally find it relaxing to disconnect from daily troubles and work on a tiny cute dome. But, that's me. If you're like me and you like things that occupy your mind and hands, totally go for it! But I do warn that spending long hours on such a tiny tiny project is certainly not for everyone.

I love doing miniatures, but this one was very challenging. It would have been easier if I hadn't followed the directions, but went with my instincts. It turned out crooked because of gluing "snow blanket" on before gluing the tree to the base. Also, the music box base would not go on straight, making the tree more crooked. I just left the music box base off and will only use it if I want to hear the music (which I don't recognize anyway). Also, the plastic dome doesn't seat good because the wooden base is slightly too big.

Great details in the design. Best for those who have created a few such projects prior.

My house arrived with a cracked globe. I contacted the seller and they got me a new globe quickly.
