It is a little tight but it definitely keeps in the warmth. Big fan of this brand. Great quality item. Exactly what the description states is what you will receive. Not disappointed with the purchase in the least bit.

Great hat.Polartec is one ofmy favorite fabrics for keeping warm in the winter.This hat fits me perfectly and it is very comfortable.I bought a L / XL and there are no gaps for wind to penetrate, the fleece is soft and warm and the outer material keeps the wind and the moisture out.I had a TNF WINDSTOPPER hat that featured a drawcord at the bottom to stay secure and I LOVED that hat but I lost it. TNF discontinued that hat so I had to search for something different which led me to this OR hat and the Marmot WINDSTOPPER hat. Since the Marmot was 2x the price, I figured I would try out the OR and, if I didn't like it, I could buy the Marmot later.Thankfully, the OR hat is just what I was looking for. Fits well, it's warm, and it looks pretty good too.I would definitely recommend this hat.

This is an almost perfect hat for my daily winter activities, however, on really cold or windy days a little chill sneaks through to my head. For most winter days in Taos, NM, above 20 degrees, the hat works very well. The wind blocking layer is sufficent for my head to stay warm. Further, the hat is very comfortable with no itching or scratchy spots and it covers my head and ears well. Again, my minor complaint with the chill on very cold days was enough for my four star rating, but there are many goods things about this hat.

I bought this hat (a large/extra-large) for my husband. He tried it on and disclosed that it felt snug. He has a big head, or so he keeps telling me. So, I tried it on and it fit perfectly. It definitely did not feel like a man's large. The quality is very nice. The outer fabric is wind-proof and it has a full-fleece lining which feels soft and warm. I am now the happy owner of this hat and love it. I am giving it 5 stars for quality and looks but sizing seems off. They should make a size larger for a true large head.

It keeps my head warm working in wind and cold. It is a little awkward of a fit a first because I am used to regular beanies.

This hat works as advertised! I am a police officers and during the winter when wind chills will get well below zero, this hat still keeps my head warmer than any slim winter hat I've used. It really does keep the wind out and of course once you get high enough and cold enough wind you start to feel it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great winter hat! The "OR" on the front of my hat was not reflective, as it may appear to be in the picture. It was simply a light grey stitch lettering.The inside of the hat is comfy. There is a fleece ring around the lower part of the hat, which could be a little taller to cover the tops of my ears but, still does its job.
