These are scrumptious. I sure do wish I could get them locally, but Whole Foods doesn't carry them (hello, WTF??). They're expensive--but excellent. If you suffer with IBS which is aggravated by dairy, you'll like & appreciate these. They taste very much like actual milk chocolate instead of oat-milk chocolate. If I could get them locally I'd buy a lot more of these. Do note that they put a small ice pack in with them, and it seems to be enough: I haven't had any arrive melted.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: My boys are allergic to dairy and I bought these for smores. They taste amazing. They were so excited to finally be able to have chocolate with their smores. Definitely a little pricey but worth it on special occasions.

Okay, I should start off by saying 4 stars because I've gotten spoiled by more expensive non-dairy non-soy, non-gluten chocolate. I ordered this because it was a bit cheaper. And to me this tasted like cheaper chocolate I sometimes got at Easter when I was a kid. It's not really creamy. BUT HAVING SAID THAT. If I gave this to a child who could not tolerate any of the aforementioned foods, they would LOVE it. Because most of them do not know from that wonderful creamy chocolate that I savor. This is sweet and it's chocolate and it's good once you get it masticating in your mouth. And it will probably not melt easily in the lunchbox. As long as you're a kid (at any age) with teeth, I'd say give it a try.

This is the by far the closest thing to milk chocolate I've tasted! My husband, who only eats milk chocolate, tried this and was very impressed. I had to take away the bar so he wouldn't eat it. Haha! I would definitely recommend this. My only complaint is that because this isn't a prime product, I wasn't notified when it was delivered and my mail carrier disregard the large print, "DO NOT LEAVE IN HEAT" sticker. So the bars are a little warped from melting but they still taste amazing! The company mailed them with a small ice pack so they tried. It's probably more so my local mail carrier but I wish I would have gotten a notification so I could have immediately gotten them out of the mailbox. Regardless, do yourself a favor and try them if you haven't!!

Very sugary but ok

First off ALWAYS take in the fact that these don’t have ingredients that you might be used to. For those of us who have tasted actual milk in our chocolate, taking milk out does change and will always change the flavor. I am VERY allergic to milk. I get ulcers that bleed within hours of ingesting milk. It is incredibly painful. I’m allergic to the casin and the whey. I’m also allergic to peanuts. I get hives with peanuts. That leaves me itchy. So I have to do in depth research on some foods to make sure I’m safe. Now to my review — I have tasted numerous milk free/vegan foods over the years. Chocolate and cheese seem to be the hardest to reproduce, which is nuts because jelly belly has a jelly bean that tastes like a pear and popcorn. Anyway, as Americans we are used to very milky sugary delicious chocolate, this can’t be reproduced in milkless/vegan form unfortunately. But as far as tasting the closest like a good dark chocolate this one does the job. It’s very close (my opinion) to Hershes dark chocolate (yes, there’s milk in that unfortunately.) Enjoy Life mini chocolate chips are also really good. I use those in homemade Chexmix and in chocolate chip cookies. But this tastes better as a stand-alone chocolate.
