These are Useful
These are great sponges, I intended to use them to apply sparkly nail polish, (the sparkle is more intense that way) but they didn’t work well for that. Instead I use them when I’m in my studio painting, and they’re awesome for that.

Works well with blending but has lint/dirt
The sponges work fantastically for blending nail polish. I would recommend using scotch tape on the surface of the sponge and then peeling the tape off to get off any lint. If you don't, there might be some stray tiny hairs/lint/idk that will get into the design and will be hard to remove.
