This is a fantastic, state-of-the Art, customizable, multi-battery-type charger....and amazingly affordable considering everything it can do. I have been a diehard fan of Odyssey Extreme AGM batteries for years, but constantly frustrated that no charger on the market would provide it's ideal 14.6 to 14.7 voltage to achieve 100% charge....these are considered High Energy or High Performance AGMs (Absorbed Glass Mat) and only charge to about 80% with a typical charger's 14.3 to 14.4 voltage....I had to open up a Charles marine charger and tweek the internal adjustment up to 14.6 to satisfy my Odyssey Extremes, up until last year ....when the 15 year old Charles marine charger finally gave out....I was going to open it up and repair it...until I discovered this excellent, bluetooth Victron 30amp charger already had a pre-set labeled "High 14.7" specifically designed for my Odyssey Extreme AGMs ! 🥳....no more charger internal tweeking of settings necessary.... BUT....if I needed to, this charger does allow selecting "Expert" mode and giving me access to specific, individual settings I can over-ride in the presets. ...and, on top of that, is also fully capable of charging my new LiFePo Li-Ion batteries too. The Bluetooth capability is not just a frill either ...as any installation in the marine environment is usually going to involve burying your battery banks in compartments and under berths, etc....so it's great to be able to mount this where you need to but still have easy access to initiating, tweeking, and monitoring your charger and batteries using the Victron app installed on your phone.... I love this thing so much, I've bought 2, one dedicated to my LiFePos and one for my AGMs.

This charger works great, and the Bluetooth phone app is fantastic. I wish it had connections for a physical switch to toggle it on. You can toggle the charging via the phone app, but that's a pain in the ass. It also lacks VE.Can or VE.Direct wired communications ports, so you have to use Bluetooth VE.Smart networking to synchronize charge cycles with another Victron charger (e.g. SmartSolar MPPT). It'd be better if this could be plugged directly into a hard-wired Victron network. Works fine with VE.Smart, though, and the price is good.

Easy setup, app works great and gives all the information you would need to find problems. Used this charger to replace a converter charger. Still have to replace the battery, but this charger can be used as a power supply which is nice. Will update my review once I get a battery installed and after some use. For the price and functionality im really happy so far!

i own 2 chargers for my lithium lifepo4 batteries, this one i have full confidence in, the other one is chinese, cheaper, and more amps but i lack the same confidence. Im grateful for both but i believe this one will outlast any other brand. And for good reason. Buy blue if you can afford it...if not the knock off 60amp Chinese 14.6v chargers are around 120$, they are dumb and i would not leave them connected full time to your battery so be careful if you do, personally i leave my Victron charger always connected and i clamp my Chinese one only when im observing the battery's SoC. happy charging :)

Although it has 3 charging lines they must all be connected to batteries with identical chemistry other than that it is an excellent quality product. Would buy again.

Worked great stand alone, but when I went to use the Victron APP, it wanted to update which failed multiple times. Apparently there is nothing in the Firmware initially. I read on posts that setting the phone on the unit would help. it finally progressed all the way thru the update... now it has been working flawlessly and has more customization settings with the app. The IP22 talks to the Solar charge controller to combine power, and reads from the BMV 712 to know voltage and temps. best of all, it has a 5 year warranty...

I bought this unit to charge my 2 100ah BattleBorn LiFePo batteries from shore or 110v power. You can see in the pic I mounted it stealthily under the batteries in my van. It has multiple battery setting so it can effectively charge my lithium ion batteries safely. I have another VictronConnect product and I like the fact I can operate this unit via Bluetooth. That’s why I felt comfortable tucking it away in that small spot. I bought the 30ah version and it has done a great job charging my batteries.

JB tools is a great place to buy from and the Victron IP22 is an excellent charger that will not only maintain a battery but will recondition and restore a battery that has been deeply discharged. The smart charger will analyze the battery and then apply the appropriate charging cycles. Excellent smart charging and battery maintenance/reconditioning.
