Pixologic Zbrush 4r7: A Comprehensive Guide

Lots of info and projects to try. Let down by very dark photo illustrations.

un manuale molto interessante per chi non sa nulla di zbrush e per chi comunque come me vuole fare un ripasso e qualche approfondimento.

Book is very good at this price. Quality of paper is good. Pages are in black and white.

I am on page 45, so far I have found one exercise that dose not work as described and the illustrations are black and grey so it is very hard if not impossible to see some of them. They provide an online pdf to view them in color but if I had known this previously I would have just gone with the ebook version. The tutorials are a series of actions to take without an explanation of what these actions are doing .Hopefully it will be explained later in the book but it would have been helpful to explain them as you go. If my view of this book changes as I progress I will update my review.

could have been a great book except for the frequent errors in the tutorials. I doubt the author ever used zbrush because the tutorials read like he did but upon doing them they do not work. One example, he tells you to create a cylinder3d then use reconstruct subdiv on it, but you can't because the cylinder3d has triangles and reconstruct subdiv can't work with triangles. I really wish that the author would go through the book and correct EVERYTHING wrong, if he does then I will post a better review. Also, on the cover of the book Zmodeler is mentioned, but there is no index listing and I could not find it in the book.
