This stuff is incredible
The scent is lovely, especially compared to literally every other bug spray. It does keep mosquitoes off of you and seems to help some against gnats and black/stable flies as well. Does nothing for deer flies, but no spray will since they hunt by sight not smell. But the biggest advantage of this spray was totally unexpected - it COOLS YOU DOWN. Think Vicks vapo-rub. I assume it’s the eucalyptus. I spray it on every morning before going outside to work and, instead of sweating profusely, feeling dizzy, miserable, and getting dangerously dehydrated, i sweat about as much as a normal human being. But this makes every breeze a cool breeze. It’s absolutely refreshing. It makes being outside relaxing and pleasurable rather than the absolute nightmare that coastal virginia summers usually are. I can’t stress enough what a game changer this is for me. I’m extremely heat intolerant, have had heat stroke a few times and heat exhaustion dozens of times. It makes a 90 degree day with 85% humidity tolerable, and with a fan nearby it helps in even hotter, more humid conditions. I have some sort of reaction to products with DEET - it slowly but surely makes my skin feel like it’s on fire, which obviously makes heat and humidity worse, and I start sweating even more profusely than I would without it, to the point that it starts running into my eyeballs. I still use deet based sprays on my clothes, where it will have minimal skin contact, but use this spray anywhere skin is exposed. I actually went and looked up the safety studies on this stuff on the epa website and read the 26 page registration eligibility document to see how safe it really was, since I apply this at least twice, usually 3 to 4 times a day. Besides the nauseating descriptions of the lab experiments that sprayed it into rabbits’ eyeballs and let it fester for 24 hours, among other cruelties (which are not just standard, but required for FDA approval/registration, so the manufacturer can’t be faulted here), the document was reassuring in showing that the spray has no apparent negative effects in the short term, and appears to have none in the long term as well. But even if it did I don’t think I’d stop using it 😂 It does need to be reapplied every few hours and NEVER let it get into your eyes - the bunnies took that blow for us and suffered greatly for it - please do not waste their sacrifice. Some lab rats also took one for the team by showing that you shouldn’t inhale it - but the effects they experienced were, in my humble opinion, more likely due to an insanely high dose being intranasally administered continuously for 4 hours, rather than passively inhaling a typical amount one might breathe in during spray application. The oral administration tests had similarly awful results, but i opine once again that the ludicrously excessive conditions they were subjected to were more likely the cause. Still - don’t drink or inhale it.

Works Great and DEET Free
This repellent is worth it for the peace of mind of being DEET free. We did have to apply it a couple times during the day, but it still seemed to work better than any DEET spray we have used. The lemon eucalyptus scent is much nicer, and it does not feel oily or greasy on the skin. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for, and I feel better using this on my family.

strong stink that bugs hate
Works well but a bit strong (smell wise) when first applied. I like it because it's DEET free yet still works well. The only knock on it is not the product but the bottle. I've had several bottles that seem to clog easily. They stop "misting" and squirt out a stream. Seems like something is clogging the nozzle.

It works?!
I mean, I bought it because I’d done some research, looked around, wanted a “natural” mosquito repellent and saw things that suggest lemon eucalyptus as a legit possibility… but I also bought DEET stuff because I have (ugh, who named this?? xP) “skeeter syndrome” where I react horribly to mosquito bites. Fleas can bite me, it’s a little dot that’s gone in an hour, a mosquito bites me and it’s a two-inch, hard, swollen, burning, itching welt that lasts 2 weeks no matter what I take, do, apply, or how religiously I avoid scratching. With the changing climate, every year there’s more mosquitos, starting earlier, lasting later, and of course now we have invasive breeds that are out during the day. (Only had to worry around dusk and dawn when I was a kid xP) My parents were going out of town for a week, my dad needed me to water his garden, and so I went out with him one afternoon to see what needed watering and how often (he keeps an extensive fruit and veggie garden) and despite it being 2pm, despite me deliberately wearing long pants and socks and shoes, just in the hour he was showing me the ropes I ended up with, no exaggeration, 14 mosquito bites! 14!!! He didn’t get one! When he was gone and I actually had to brave the garden I was going to use the DEET stuff I’d bought because I wasn’t going to play, but I read the bottle and it warned against using on certain fabrics, including, when I checked, the fabric of basically all the garden-friendly clothes I was wearing. I checked this stuff, no such warning, so I took the chance and basically doused myself, both clothes and exposed skin, in this—then watered and such for like 2 hours, came back in, not a bite! And it went that way all week that I was covering the garden, every day I’d douse myself in this stuff before going out, not always for that long, but still! —and every day, I was still miserable from the original 14 bites, but I never got another. I’d honestly thought this was probably just snake oil (I’ve been bitten sitting next to citronella candles, don’t come at me) but I’m a believer in lemon eucalyptus now! Also, even after practically bathing in it for a week, you could hardly tell from the bottle I’d used any, so serious kudos for how far it goes and long it lasts too. I’d used more since, but my sister was over, complaining about mosquitos around when she walks her dog, so I ended up giving her my nearly full bottle and just buying myself another, since it’s also (as of my purchase) such a good price.

Strong smelling bug spray
I want to give this a good review because I had so much hope for it. But it just stinks. It is 100% potent bug spray. Yes it helps repel the bugs which is the point. But the reason I got it is people saying it has a nice scent and works. I will go back to what I use to use because the smell of this is too much!

Works Excellent for Mosquito Protection
This is a reliable and effective insect repellent that performs well for everyday outdoor use. It’s a great choice if you want a more natural option that still gets the job done.

I've has this a while but hadn't used it as I wanted to use up my other mossie repellents first. Used it in Portugal in May and have to say it was brilliant. I am a magnet for Mossies and react badly to them so I am always very careful what I use. I was nervous about using it the first time as I didn't really trust it and wasn't looking forward to getting bitten. It has a pleasant strong lemon smell to it and goes a long way, I found it also cooled my skin. I did get one bite on my face but I did not have a reaction to it which makes me think that the mossie didn't like the taste or smell so didn't hang around long enough to do their usual damage to me. This bottle will last me about half a dozen two week holidays so its value for money. Going to test it in Greece later in the year which will be a tough test as the mossie's there queue up waiting for me to land!!!

I’m a mosquito magnet and usually suffer badly in tropical destinations (extreme swelling of bites). I’ve tried other DEET and alternatives before but this was the best yet (used throughout Colombia). Hardly any bites at all and it smells very nice too. I did take Benadryl once a day too so perhaps the combo was the magic this time

I forgot to use this on day one of my holiday and was bitten by mosquitoes around 8 bites. I never forgot again and was only bit twice then for the whole week. I will always buy this for future holidays, it’s expensive but worth it. Lasts a long time and you only need a little. After a week of 4 adults using, there was half a bottle left. Smell is not fantastic but not horrid.
