This is a reasonable no frills pull up bar. Despite being a handy person - this was not a straight forward installation. While it feels it might take the whole wall down, it held up so far. Long terms sturdiness remains to be seen. One suggestion is to add another couple of grippers pads on each side for shorter folks. Overall - recommended, if you are comfortable with DIY.

Very sturdy. I installed it above my door using structural wood screws and a 2x8 board. It's very solid. I weigh 200 lbs and it holds my weight easily.

The spacing between the left and right wall plates doesn't line up with the studs these are about 18" apart where the standard studs are 16" on center. Mounted a couple of 2x6 boards on the wall then mounted the pull-up bar to the boards. Works well. It holds up well. The pull-up bar should be a few inches further away from the wall to allow pulling up and raising knees at the same time to work back and abs all in one movement.

Out of the box, it feels like cheap metal and there is no rigidity to the cross member due to the contact points not seating flush to the bars that mount to the wall. For cheaper quality metal I could understand some flex to the cross member, but I was almost able to manipulate it by hand and I'm not a strong person. When I tried to mount it to the wall, I had to torque the contact plates on the wall about 10 degrees inward to get verbal square reading. The last straw was the wall anchors that was about an eighth of an inch too large for the supplied bolts. I was able to fully seat the bolt in the anchor while it was in the wall with zero resistance and the bolt could spin freely. Based on other reviews, this seems confusing because I read a lot of good things before but I may have just had a bad one off. Regardless, it was out of the box for less than an hour and I will be returning it for a refund and will look for another brand.

Installed this a couple days ago and was thankful that a template for both 16" and 24" studs was included. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. It is well constructed and seems like it will hold up for many years. Definitely recommend it.

Die erste Klimmzug Stange mussten wir reklamieren, da die Griffe schon abgenutzt waren. Diese Abwicklung erfolgte reibungslos. Nun ist nach einem halben Jahr eine Seite aus der Wand gerissen (unser Sohn hat sich mit seinen 45 kg daran gehängt). Die mitgelieferten Schrauben und Dübel sind also nicht geeignet! Besser im Fachhandel schwerlastdübeln mit passenden Schrauben besorgen!

it’s an okay product but it comes with the risk of getting crippled; fell out after a month or so of usage (60kg child). highly recommend getting something sturdier and safer
