Not sure i understand the question. This is a rubber edge to add onto fender flairs. For me it was installed on aftermarket flares that didn't one with rubber edges.

It would have been nice if they were just a little deeper, our flares were a little thick.

They did work on our fender flares but it was tricky to keep them in place during the install. Especially around any curves, the sharper the curve the harder it was. You need to clip the back with sissors just like if you are sewing material around a curve.
