the clamp was too loose
it wont close properly when it goes to the battery bolt.

Good Load tester
This Load Tester does a good job.The clamps jaws are a bit bulky for some battery locations and size of lugs. But, with a bit of moving about You can get them to clamp on smallish battery terminals too.

Handy to have
Used this to start my 4040 JD tractor with poor starter and not so good batteries ,did suck the life out of it and did need a recharge afterward but it did the job . Also used to start my CAT backhoe with bad battery ,starts a gas pickup no problem at all .Would rather have the cables hard wired to the unit instead of the two prong connector and cables could be a little longer . For the price I was very pleased .
