This is one of the rare games in my house that everyone, age 8 to adult, is willing to play. The puzzle facet is interesting, and the different levels make it so younger/newer players can have some success as they get the hang of it. The more advanced puzzles really do give your brain a workout. It says it is a "one player" game, but I have five kids and 1-3 of them can play with this together with lots of turn-taking and discussion. The pieces are super cute, so often, when they tire of puzzling, they will make up little stories about the animals. This gives it additional play value, for sure, but could also be a drawback for travel or regular playroom messiness, since you have to keep track of all the pieces in order to do the puzzles. They come in plastic zipper bags, so it's not hard, but be aware that everything needs to stay together. Really attractive and well-made. This was a good purchase for us. I also recommend "Jump In," a similar puzzle-type game with rabbits and foxes.

Got this for my daughter (6.5 yrs) for Christmas and she LOVED it! It's not very bright and flashy like other toys, so it took her awhile to get around to looking at it, but once she did, she was hooked. She loves that she can play it by herself and that she can check her answers. It's very simple to learn but gets incrementally harder as you go. The expert puzzles are tricky even for adults! I definitely recommend this game if you have a child who can sit still for a bit for things like coloring or jigsaw puzzles. My daughter loves puzzles, brain teasers and coloring so this is right up her alley. And she can get easily frustrated when she doesn't get things right away, but for some reason she had the patience and perseverance to keep up with this game! This is a great way to get your kids off screens and would be perfect for an only child or child that has much older or younger siblings that won't play with them.

I can't believe how good the quality of this set is.The little figures are a hard, durable rubber that feel like they will last forever.My 6 year old can do the easy puzzles, and we adults struggled with some of the hardest ones.My son also loves just playing with the figures and the fences.I do wish that they had included just 1 more trough even though it is not needed for the puzzles because my son is very concerned that one group of animals doesn't get water :)

This is so much fun for anyone of all ages. My 5.5 year old will spend like an hour playing with this in one sitting. He got to expert level in about 3 weeks and is still working on it when he needs something to do. I keep it at the kitchen island and he'll play with it when I'm cooking. My husband enjoys getting involved with it, too.

Our 4yo son loves this game. It definitely makes him think. He needs help setting up the different scenarios and occasionally needs help figuring out the solution, but he is often able to solve it on his one. It is too difficult for our 3yo though. We would recommend it and plan to try other SmartGames.
