Just bought this, it has a very strong horrible smell, anyone else experience this

Received a burgundy colored one in Jan 2018 and have used it intermittently for two weeks. There definitely is a chemical smell or outgassing (?) that is coming off of the pad at moderate to higher temperatures. At #1 setting I don't notice it but at #3 (Medium) it is strong enough to make my eyes sting. The odor itself isn't really bad, but that combined with the eye irritation makes me not want to use it. Interesting how this problem seems to have existed for years now. I'm considering washing it but don't want to get into a warranty issue if that doesn't fix the problem. Any history with this out there?

Will this fit a man who wears a xxl shirt?

I wear an XXL shirt with a little room to spare. This product could be a few inches wider to accommodate the width of my shoulders. The unheated edges reach to where my collarbone ends, but the warming part is about 2" short of that. All in all, it's a good product, but just not large enough. They should make an XXL size.

can this pad heat just shoulders or just the back? or does the whole pad heat at the same time?

It is a great pad that heat whole at the same time. We are so happy with it...

It has a two hour automatic cut off. You may roll in your sleep & twist the wire. It doesn't seem like a great idea to sleep with it on, but the 2 hour automatic cut off of power should protect you.
