Most functional razer keyboard that sounds amazing, aside from the space bar.
This is one of the best keyboards I have ever used. The keys are actually pretty quiet with exception to the space bar. For some reason the rest of the keys make a nice thock sound similar to popcorn popping but the space bar has a very loud thud sound to it. Other than that I love the way this keyboard feels and sounds. The rgb is on the dim side for a razer keyboard, however it is normal for every other keyboard and brighter than most. The keys have a really nice texture to them and the overall typing experience is smooth. You can adjust the actuation points on the keyboard and assign them to different profiles that you can then cycle through manually on the keyboard. I have mine set to 3.0 in typing mode and 1.5 in gaming mode. I had a razer blackwidow v4 with yellow switches but I returned it for this keyboard and I couldn't be happier. The blackwidow felt premium but this keyboard takes it to a whole different level. Better wrist pad, better quality of keys, and an overall better build keyboard than the blackwidow v4. I will keep this keyboard for as long as it lasts. Considering my keyboard before the v4 was a ornata chroma that lasted me almost 7 years i'm sure this one, which is build much better, will last longer. If you like the way mechanical keyboards feel and you don't mind the thocky noise than this is the keyboard for you. I can't think of any other keyboard on the market besides the huntsman v3, which has more features but the quality isn't as good, that has this much functionality. This is a $250 keyboard that can commonly be bought for under $140. Definitely worth the purchase.

Greased lighting clickyness!
The Razer Huntsman V2 Analong keyboard looks and feels fantastic! The keys almost feel like they are hugging each of my individual fingertips. while at the same time, being very sturdy and yet, offer little to no resistance going down, but spring back up with urgency. The wrist rest is by far the most comfortable one that I have used, even when not using this keyboard I still use the wrist rest when I can. The dedicated media keys are surprisingly one of my favorite parts of the board. They are simple, well placed, and tactile. The USB port on the side is very convenient. You may think you want low actuation points, but you may not realize how your fingers are actually resting on your keyboard right now, and that is more than enough pressure to enter a keystroke. Because of this, I did not like the keyboard instantly, but it took time to get used to it and to find the right actuation points to setup. The only negative for me, and I'm nitpicking here, is the lack of wire organization that other Razer keyboards have. Would have been nice, but not a deal breaker. The RGB board and rest look amazing, especially after setting up the Razer Synapse visual effects. This is my 4th Razer keyboard and I have several from other brands as well. I honestly love the feel of the keys and although I don't care too much to have everything RGB, Razer lighting has always been one of the best, in my opinion. The dedicated media keys are not something I would have thought to mention but other boards that I have used and have media keys are far out of the way and not as efficient to properly adjust on the fly while in the middle of something hectic like an intense pvp battle. Every time I come back to using a Razer product I wonder why I ever left, but throughout the years I have noticed that there will always be an update to their Synpase software that ruins the associated hardware and sometimes that following update to fix it takes too long, or causes a different problem. But back to the keyboard...I love it. Just know that you are going to need some time to build proper muscle memory to utilize it fully without accidental keystrokes.

Worth 100$ as a used like new item
I am a graduate student in analytics and recently upgraded my old Microsoft membrane keyboard for the Razer Huntsman V2 keyboard mostly for programming. Comparing my old Microsoft keyboard to this one, the feel of the keys is premium and it takes less resistance to press the Huntsman Analogue button. While this is not considered a clicky key switch, the buttons bottom on an aluminum frame makes an old 1970s-style twack... which for me is nostalgic. I love how the mute button turns red when activated and I set the chroma to "spectrum cycling" for the keyboard and a Razer Cobra mouse (independent of any function on the computer). I got it because it looks cool and I am spending a lot of time on the computer these days. The ability to set the height of actuation is a plus and I am currently playing with that setting. I've ordered a USB switch so I can use the same mouse and keyboard between an M1 Mac Mini, a Dell PC, a Raspberry Pi, and a PC laptop. There is nothing weird about the layout of keys on the Huntsman full keyboard which is why I needed to stay away from the BlackWidow series. Some things to note, it is a pretty heavy keyboard so that might play a factor for certain buyers. There are two long USB cords that are permanently fixed to the keyboard. The second wire is mostly for a passthrough to a USB port on the keyboard for the mouse. I'm using it because it is there and I don't want to bother with a dangling wire. The keyboard has firmware that can be updated periodically, on-board profiles, a gaming mode, actuation height setting so it was probably geared to a niche market. It wasn't designed to make life easy which for some might be annoying. I was also left wanting a mildly ergonomic version of this keyboard which is not a thing in the gaming keyboard industry. Overall I am impressed and glad I could buy one for 100$ as a used "like new" item on Amazon, and for that price give it five stars. I would have returned it at the suggested retail price of 250$. I hope this helps someone with their buying decision.

Cool Keyboard - Kind of gimmicky
I've been looking for something to replace my 6 year old Blackwidow X Chroma keyboard for a while, but couldn't find much for a long time. Most new keyboards on the market either had that really gross "gamer" style, or functionality that was lack luster. I saw ads for this keyboard when it came out, and was interested in the series of improvements Razer made in comparison to some of there other more modern releases. 1. Build quality is very nice. I enjoyed my previous BWXC because of its military grade steel build, and it's something that's hard to find nowadays. Was pleasantly surprised that this new keyboard lived up to the standards of my old board. 2. Elephant in the room, analog switches. While they do really have potential, I don't really find them all that useful right now. Of course, this could change, and there could be more support for them in the future; but as of right now, I haven't run into any games that utilize the function. They also sometimes bug out, and stick. For example, if I'm running around in a game using WASD, sometimes my character would continuously move left, even with my hand not touching the keyboard. I would have to press the A key again to reset it. This is rare, and only happened every so often, but I feel it's worth noting. 3. Hand rest. Although I haven't used any previous Razer hand rests before, I know that this new one was completely reworked. Some of the last few Razer keyboards to come out, before this analog one, didn't have a magnetically connected hand rest, which put me off to buying them. This one however IS connected, and is extremely strong and comfortable. Never thought I'd really enjoy a hand rest this much. The LEDs that wrap around the side of the rest/keyboard are pretty clean looking too, if you're into that. 4. PBT keycaps. They're there, and they feel a little more heavy duty than normal keycaps. Not much to say. Overall, I like the keyboard. It's kind of niche, and the analog switches are kind of gimmicky for the moment, but the build and utility of the keyboard more than make up for it.

Excellent product for gamers that requires precision for fps games in term of movements
I bought one for my brother 5 years ago and it keeps working. All keycaps responses as the first day and sound like the first day with 0 mantainment. So I expect the same for this one I bought. Also, it comes with 2 cables, for any weird reason the 2nd one (with a small C usb cable) attached to the keyboard has an usb adapter inside the box attached to the plastic' cover. So once you set it, you can plug in thne keyboard and make it work. For any weird reason the other usb cable is intended to give power and let the usb input works on the keyboard. Oh, and I'm using this one to play Deadlock and it goes very well. Ah and the pad, for me, at least, makes my hand feel like weird so I dont attach it tgo the keyboard but use it fopr my right hand for save it from touch my wrist with the mousepad (so it wont get friction again).

Update: The Huntsman v2 Analog Keyboard RUINED MY PC! S
Update: I'm updating this review because of an issue I thought I could fix but apparently not. The moment I plugged in the Huntsman v2 Analog Keyboard I started experiencing loads of issues! Mainly with my mouse which was also a razer and working completely fine before I plugged this demonic keyboard in. I've experienced: - Scroll Wheel of mouse randomly activating window resize. Letting the system idle for a few seconds corrects this. - Caps Lock key randomly engaging without being pressed. - Mouse Left Click sometimes engaging a shadow Left Click + Shift. Example: I'll be in discord and left click a DM or server and it'll open up discord in a web browser as if I had pressed Shift + Left click instead. Letting PC sit idle with no mouse/keyboard interaction makes it stop. - Highlighting Text engages without holding left click and dragging. No way to get out of this unless I minimize/click out of the window and let it idle for a few seconds. - Maximizing a window from the minimize on the task bar will sometimes want to reboot the program/browser into a new boot/window. Will do this several times until I let my system idle for a few seconds. The video shows just one of the issues that continues to persist at random intervals on my PC since I've gotten rid of the Huntsman v2 Analog Keyboard. Despite no longer owning this keyboard these issues persist! Even with several different mice and 2 different keyboards! I have plugged into ever single USB port on my PC and no matter where they go the issues continue! I even did a SYSTEM RESTORE! And the issues remained!! The Huntsman v2 Analog Keyboard absolutely ruined my PC! I feel like my last hope is a Drive Reformat to try to destroy this mess once and for all. I am NEVER trusting another Razer keyboard again! ------------ I had this keyboard for about 2 weeks or so and have decided to return it. Apparently having the Razer Synapse App enabled and open with this keyboard will sometimes result in "Repeat Ghost Text" which causes the last few things you typed to reappear in your line of typing. It is an extremely frustrating ordeal. According to users posting on Razer's own support forms on their official site, this issue with the Huntsman V2 Analog has been a known thing for 6+ months with ZERO fixing from the developers nor updates on what is causing it or when a fix might roll out. If you don't mind not being able to customize anything about this keyboard then its a perfect fit for you.

2 years later, an honest long term review
I am an absolute keyboard nerd, so fair warning that this review is from that perspective. I work in IT and also do professional writing, so I use this keyboard for programming, writing, and gaming. I deeply enjoy the V2 analog, but there are some glaring issues. The CONS: #1 - The software. Mentioned in every negative review, the Razer control software is horrible. I do not use the RGB and additional features, so I simply uninstalled it after a week. However, this absolutely is a reason not to purchase this or any other Razer product. Honestly, it's the company's largest complaint, and they have no plans to fix it. For context, it draws 1.3gb of active use memory whenever the software is running, and it has to be actively running to do any keyboard controls. So unless you're dedicating an entire stick of RAM just to use your keyboard... just don't bother with the software. #2 - durability. I have put about 800k words through this keyboard per year, but I'd probably estimate with key presses for gaming and other work, that's almost double. Almost certainly 2M on the WASD alone per year. That's a lot, but to be expected of a heavy use machine. Unfortutnately, that means that the RGB control on the 'D' has gotten out of synch. The wrist rest is starting to peel (I wear a watch which seems to have done a fair bit of damage. The volume control is absolutely destroyed (something I don't use a lot, so that's a major durability issue). I don't use the volume control all the time, but it only worked for about a year before having problems that eventually devolved to not working at all. Now, for a basic keyboard, I'd be replacing it every year, but I'd expect a $200 keyboard to last a bit longer than 2.5 years. #3 - Some basic design problems. The wrist rest is magnetic and has RGB as well, which is cute, but I find myself always disconnecting it. The pass-through-USB is on the left side of the keyboard, a place that's up against the tray of my desk. The media controls feel like regular MX keys or even a rubber dome key and doesn't fit with the rest of the quality. The PROS (and why I've bought a 2nd one): #1 - the sound, sensitivity, tactile feedback. I love the sound and feel of this keyboard. The optical electric sensors are incredibly sensitive and have deep response for key depressions. You will, however, end up accidentally pressing some keys when first getting used to it. It is INCREDIBLY sensitive (being a laser optical switch after all). If you're used to hall-effect switches, this will be more sensitive but of a similar response. If you're more used to Cherry-MX, this will be a big step up for you. The sound is wonderful, sounding more like the 90's IBM or Packard Bell boards with that nice high pitched chunky click. This would be a great keyboard for doing foley sound effects for film. #2 the function - while it's not as durable as I'd like, honestly, it absolutely holds up under the massive amount of work I put through it and does everything I want. I'm getting a replacement after only 29 months of use, but that's 29 months of heavy use. It's also half the price that I originally paid, so that's probably why I'm going back and not playing around with something even higher end. This is a great keyboard for someone looking to upgrade from CherryMX or to have a solid workhorse of a peripheral that will absolutely meet their gaming needs.

Me encanta.

Ultimate mechanical keyboard
After trying 5 keyboards Razer Huntsman V2 Analog is the best choice for programming (I did not try it for gaming). The ability to change the actuation threshold made a big difference in my typing accuracy. The expense is well worth the experience.

Great keyboard however wrist pad stopped working in 5 days
It's a great keyboard. Specially for pro gamers. The wrist pad has a underglaze light which stopped working after just 5 days of use. Tried firmware update and restting the keyboard but to no use.
