But we talk through that and how scientists keep making discoveries. I thought the talk of dead squid and photos of washed up carcasses would bother him but he is super interested and shows what scientists actually study! Great find - I love this keeps the interest and learning going!

Perfect for Inquisitive Kid
My son can recite this book. We read as a bedtime story. He is 4- nearly 5 years old. He loves squid and this book has great pictures, great examples (a giant squid stretched across a baseball field!) and scientific facts mixed with the old myths (“scientists say no” this isn’t possible…) I think it’s a little outdated since I think they did get a giant squid on film in 2006? But we talk through that and how scientists keep making discoveries. I thought the talk of dead squid and photos of washed up carcasses would bother him but he is super interested and shows what scientists actually study! Squidtastic
This book was just the thing for my 9 year old son, who loves dinosaurs and monsters of the sea. We read it together, taking turns reading each page. It was informative and exciting for him.
