I use this product in our preschool classrooms. Children can use them to help calm down or just as part of the science area.

Our family has enjoyed glitter tubes for over 20 years. We started out with the big ones that are about a foot long. I purchased these with the thought that the smaller size would be more convenient for a diaper bag or purse. I love using these tubes for quiet baby toys at church and other places. This size is good for babies to play with because they are less likely to smack themselves (or you) in the head with it when they twist their wrist back and forth. Besides being shorter, these wands are also smaller in diameter. They are about 1/2 inch across whereas the jumbo ones are nearly 3/4 inch in diameter. Besides size, there are other significant differences between these and the Jumbo Spiral Glitter wands. The only thing spiral about these is the texture of the clear plastic tube. There are ridges that spiral around the outside of the tube that are kind of like the ridges of a twisted rope. The contents inside the tube do not fall in a spiral pattern like they do in the jumbo wands. The spiral pattern makes the contents fall a little more slowly and distributes the contents a little more evenly around the tube. In addition, these tubes have a single color of what I'll call "sand" while the bigger spiral ones have two contrasting colors. The ridges on these smaller wands might feel good on the gums of a teething toddler though. The jumbo wands are smooth on the outside. I really like these wands for the convenience and portability of the small size. However, for the overall play value I would go with the jumbo size. You get more bang for your buck out of the bigger wands since the price of these is not much lower than that of the jumbo wands. The "fall" time on these is rather quick and in my opinion they are a little too short for a good wand. These probably won't hold the interest of older children for long.

Magic wand is colorful and in excellent condition. Great for helping people chase their cares away, and get back to laughing and smiling at the pleasures in life.

Nice colors but not the right fir for the kalidescope I purchased. We made them work with some tweaking. Kids enjoy looking at all the sparkly colors.

I purchased this elsewhere and while it's great fun, I think I paid $1 per wand. They are pretty and great for kids (or adults) to focus on when calming down or just simply bored.

I bought these for my 5 year old nieces. They absolutely love them. They aren't too big so they fit comfortably in hand and are easy to carry with on adventures where they need to bring their "wands." A simple toy that provides hours of entertainment.

I anticipated the smallness, and I wanted something small so the kids wouldn't crack each other over the head with. I just feel like almost $4 a piece is a too much to spend for what I got.BUTThey do seem durable and I like the twisted plastic tube. I like the length for my purposes.

I teach older students and use it in class as a turn marker. I think they would be really nice for calming younger students. My teenaged students will just sit and stare at it.
