My wife and I have been taking this brand NAC for a few months. I have no way to know how good it is, as supplements are not well regulated, so I can't comment on that. We take NAC because if may have value if we become infected with the novel coronavirus, that causes COVID-19. And with regard to the odor, this is my experience: I noticed the normally expected sulfur odor when I opened the bottle to distribute the pills to my daily Rx sorter, but I have never noticed any odor when I am taking the pills each day. Yes, it is mildly annoying for a few minutes upon opening the bottle for the first time, but it has not bothered me since, and when I just opened it again, today, I had to hold the open bottle near my nose to notice any odor at all. As others have noted, if it is actually NAC, it is supposed to smell of sulfur ("rotten eggs"). That just indicates it is likely to be real NAC.

Purchased this brand once before and it had the normal sulfur smell to it. Ordered another bottle because I was getting low and the new bottle had very little sulfur smell and a very strong chemical plastic like smell. I would never put one of these in my mouth. Tried several times over many days calling the phone number on the rear of the bottle and no one ever answers. Standard generic greeting and not even a business voicemail.

This stuff is great. Of course speak with your nurse, doctor, specialist or pharmacist but for me it works wonders. I have lupus SLE. That condition caused me to have a very rare condition called Shrinking lung disease. I also developed lupus nephritis and fibromyalgia. So my body is waving the white flag of surrender. I began taking this and have seen a decrease in pain and inflammation. Because lupus is a real crap head, I often get pericarditis and pleurisy as well. NAC has been a life saver in that area. I highly recommend this product and I love this brand.
