Great value for the price.
What a nice looking watch. Seems to have great functionality, and seems durable. It is very easy to use, and read. The watch is a great value.

Looks more expensive than it is
Watch arrived quickly, working and with the correct time and date for central time zone. All I had to do was adjust the time back an hour. The expansion band fits perfectly, so don't worry about having a slightly smaller than average wrist, as someone mentioned in one of these reviews. I am sure my wrist is on the small size for a man, and the band is snug. The watch face itself is elegant with large enough numbers and bars (where numbers should be), that the wearer can tell time at a glance. I would have preferred the blue face, since it matched the one I had, but this gold over taupe was the least expensive and looks great. Naturally, I checked the luminescent hands and dots in a dark closet, because, hey, that's what you do when you get a new watch; and yes, they glow in the dark. I saw the new watch on TV that Trump is peddling for $100,000, and honestly, this $28 Armitron, to my eyes, looks classier.

The battery is already ticking on arrival ....bleh
I bought this watch for Hubs bc his C@sio had a non-performing day/date feature [after only 2 years] which is 50% functionality for him. After selecting between 10 different watches and preferring the two-tone because he wears a yellow gold wedding band, we selected this one.Pros: it is hands-down a fine-looking watch. Sleek, elegant, masculine, understated but not "blah" with a different enough look to be interesting but he likes subtle so this fits the bill; classy. This fits *just* right. In that, it's not too big and not too tight. He's a big-boned guy - hulky, (not "fat") so that's a plus however, if you're bit on the small side for a dude, this will be too big.He says its comfortable and slapping it on without a "fussy" latch is a plus.Cost is awesome.Cons: was teed off it came with an already-ticking battery. Dumb. As batteries cost 10$ at Walmart now. Don't love the idea of spending 25% of the cost of the watch every year to replace a battery. (Have to ask if this is on purpose to force the consumer to buy another watch with more frequency than it would occur if they'd had the battery "stopper" plastic thingie between the post and the watch body. Duh.)Recommend overall.

Nice watch
This is a very classy, simple wrist watch. The day/date is a plus. It looks great on, goes with everything and has minimal maintenance with the stretch metal band. All I had to do was set it. It keeps perfect time and the glow in the dark hands stand out. Easy to read. It's lightweight, very comfortable to wear (I forget I have it on) and for the product, it was an excellent deal.

Great quality. Great Price. Great Product
This is my 2nd Armitron watch. The previous Armitron I had finally died after 5 years of grueling abuse by me. I am a restoration specialist so I find myself in some rather extreme situations and conditions that can put a lot of strain on a wristwatch. An example would be a time when I was working on a car installing EFI when my watch became part of a 12v open circuit! The watch took the brunt of 100a of DC voltage and it came through unscathed. Sweat, sawdust, grease…nothing stopped this watch from being a good watch. Until last week when … it just stopped. I tried a new battery…didn’t help. I looked at the movements and they seemed fine…no conflicts. It just….died. RIP after five looong years. The thing was a tank with a wrist-strap!So here I am on Amazon looking for a replacement when I see this Armitron with a stretchy band. I read the reviews and gave it a shot. It’s EXACTLY what I’d hoped for…good quality…excellent feel and I must say: An expanding wrist strap that is comfortable and just right. It doesn’t pinch…doesn’t feel too small or large. It’s literally just right. The watch looks great. I like the large numbers. I like the contrast of the black face and gold movements and numbers. Best of all; I like that it keeps the correct time! LOL! After all, that’s what a watch is supposed to do.So with that, it earns a 5-star from me. There are a couple of “would be nice” things but maybe I just need to be patient:* no instructions* I see it has glow strips on the movement but at night, they were not glowing. (Maybe charged by the sun?)* No idea how to adjust the date. The day is easy but the date number is weird.

The cost was a contributing factor as well as the durability of the watch.
