Laptop Cooling Pads 12"-17" Laptop Fans Chill Mat 4 Quiet Fans 4.75 inch' LED Lights Cooler Pad (Adjustable speed+Temperature Display)

I was excited to receive this item, I work on my laptop a lot and now that my disability leaves me confined to my bed most days I needed something to not only keep my laptop cool but also gives me a way to adjust the angle of my laptop. I am really disappointed with this product for two reasons, first one is that there were no instructions in the box, just the fan and the usb cord that powers it, (2. the tray will not lock in place when you try to adjust the angle. I am regretfully going to return this item and find something to replace it, when on a tight budget is not an easy task.

Well first off it was listed as fitting a 12 to 17 inch laptop and I can definatly say it does not. Mine is right in the middle and hangs over by 1 to 2 inches on both sides therefore the feet of the laptop do not sit on the cooling pad and it doesn't get the air flow that would make it beneficial. The whole thing seems cheaply built and like it's going to break at any minute with at laptop on it.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:Works fine but two of the "teeth" that lock the base inclination broke within the first 3 weeks. Plastic seems low quality but at this price range, you can't be too surprised about this.CORRECTED REVIEW:The seller contacted me and offered to send me another one at 99% off regular price. I gotta say customer service was great and I'm very happy i received a replacement for the one that broke in the first place. Keep it up!

Placement of the fans is the biggest issue. Most CPUs are in the back or the center. My laptop heats up in the left back corner and this did nothing to dissipate that heat, unless I turned the thing backwards. Plus, after a week's use, the thing started to fall apart already. I would look elsewhere, if I were you.

I have this under a MSI 17.1" gaming laptop and have been surprised at the effectiveness of using it. The MSI has a fan boost that can be used during high use times. i.e.. gaming. So I had used that often to get rid of some stuttering on the screen. With this laptop cooler I haven't had to use that boost at all.

Item arrived in excellent condition, and was well packaged. I did come across the issue some have had where raising it up would cause it to sit uneven, but found if you gently pull the bottom towards you just right it'll slide into the notch snugly. As far as the operation goes, it puts out fairly good air flow and is pretty quiet. It certainly helps keep things cool when I'm gaming for several hours, plus the LED lighting adds a nice touch and matches the lid on my laptop.

This product is very dangerous as it uses the same type of USB end on both ends of the cable which allows power to flow in both directions.I made the mistake of pluging this into my laptop first to try it, then went to get a powered USB hub assuming that would be safer. Unplugged the wrong end and ended up plugging the laptop into the hub. Result.Dead laptop,Dead hub.Total cost of mistake $3600

Wife love it. It works. Considering purchasing one myself. She's not a gamer so this is a little overkill for her needs but it keeps the laptop cool. Would have liked some instructions in English but it's simple enough to figure out by playing around with the buttons. Good product and good price.
