After years of giving this a go, it has finally made its way into my wheelie bin (as pictured) 1 use gimmick kitchen gadget that doesn't even do it's sole job well. Steer clear.

Was really excited about my wife having this, as she has moved from Mexico and is feeling very homesick. She eagerly wanted to try this out today. Unfortunately, one of the bolts was way too short and will need to be replaced, which is annoying. However, once this has been done I am sure the product will be great and get plenty of use.

Used twice to male tortillas using 45g maize/water dough between baking paper. Lever arm snapped in two close to the pivot point. Returned for a refund. It did make perfectly acceptable tortillas up to the point of breakage.

This was a great purchase, I’m really glad I went for it. It takes a small amount of assembly and then it just worked perfectly. Very satisfying and easy to use, and I have been able to up my taco game to an entirely new level. The mechanism makes it easy to press your tortilla flat without requiring much pressure or strength from you. I found that a properly pressed, flat tortilla cooked more evenly and didn’t fall apart as easily when picking up a taco to eat it. Very satisfied with this product!

When I received the tortilla press, it came disassembled. The first time I tried to put it together I failed. But it only took me one other try to get it right. It now has a place of honor on a shelf in my kitchen. I probably use it at least one a week to make corn tortillas, but also other kinds of flatbreads.

on the 4th use the handle snapped off causing me to hit my hand against the press, quite painful, shame as I bought this (more expensive than competitors) press hoping for a "buy it once" product, will up load photos later

It takes a bit of time to get the technique down, but this makes pretty danged good tortillas. You gotta remember to use the parchment paper, cuz it's definitely a messy endeavor if you don't, but I find this thing fun to use, and making my own corn tortillas is huge, as I have a partner who is sensitive to the devil gluten. It's a hefty unit, definitely not for storing on high shelves if you enjoy a complete skull.
