I purchased this phone after doing some research on the best low cost 5G phones on the market. I have only had Apple or Samsung smartphones until now but couldn't justify the hefty price tag that their latest models come with so I decided to try a cheaper alternative when I needed a new phone.I narrowed down my choices to the RealMe 7 5G or the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite which appeared evenly matched on specification and price, but went with the RealMe when I saw it's price discounted on Amazon.When the phone arrived I was impressed with the packaging & overall style of the phone. It looks and feels every bit as premium as much more expensive phones.The only negative I have to report is the set up process. My previous phone was a Samsung S8 and I thought it would be quite straightforward to transfer everything across to this phone but I was wrong. The RealMe 7 5G came with a pre-installed clone app to copy everything across but it requires you to install the same app on your previous phone to enable the transfer, the problem being that I couldn't find that app in the PlayStore on my S8 and the QR code that was meant to be a short cut didn't work either. I tried several other clone apps but none of them worked, neither did connecting the phones via cable. Eventually after a lot of messing I was able to transfer everything across using a mixture of Google Drive, One Drive and Wi-Fi Direct but it was time consuming.Since completing the set-up everything else has been positive. The battery life of this phone is amazing - typically I only need to charge it after three days use, noting that I use the phone fairly frequently during the day. When it does need charging it goes from 20% charge to 100% in around 45 minutes using the 30W DART charger that came with the phone.It has taken me a while to get used to the 6.5 inch screen as it is larger than any of my previous phones, but it does fit in my pocket easily enough. The screen is very crisp and clear; I set it to 120Hz for the best quality display and it is a pleasure to watch movies and TV shows. Sound quality through the speaker is great too.I don't use the phone for gaming or any heavy duty tasks so can't comment on how well the processor works for those tasks, but for day to day to use this phone is fast & reliable.I like the fingerprint sensor being positioned on the side of the phone and it works incredibly well. I've never been a fan of facial recognition but on this phone it is super quick and reliable, in fact the phone usually unlocks via facial recognition before my finger reaches the sensor on the side of the phone.I only use the camera occasionally so it wasn't a major factor in my decision to buy this phone, but the few pictures I have taken are excellent.This is my first 5G phone and I've had the chance to use 5G a few times now and it is fantastic. I did a speed test the first time I used 5G and it showed a download speed of 427Mbps which is incredible.Overall, I am extremely impressed with this phone and it does exactly what I need it to - it's high spec, fast, reliable and fuss free but without a high price tag. With low cost phones now being this good I won't be buying Apple or Samsung ever again.

This phone is hands down the best I've had so far. The battery is amazing! Even with regular use and numerous apps installed (though I try to cut down these days, they really can ruin any phone as most apps force run in the background even when you've just force closed everything). But most impressive is the picture quality, the quality is stunning, I'm taking pictures of landscapes and picking out clear details I never noticed by eye, its instant and you have plenty of additional options to edit pictures taken. Great value, clear call sound, great picture quality, great battery, light and not had any heat issue either yet even with a solid case on to protect it.How I got to this phone; I've always stuck with cheaper phones, I really detest this rat race for the best phones and throw away mentality it creates. I can't mentally justify spending a grand regardless of tech, my high end gaming PC only cost me £800 total and thats for everything entertainment nd business wise, and long lasting. I really enjoy modern tech and the ease it can bring day to day tasks and entertainment value. But I got bored of buying older Samsung models that get worse and turned down over time to the point basic tasks take so much more time out of your life. So I decided to try something totally different. I was glad I did! Its still early days but so far I've not had a single issue, many calls and texts all fine, video calls were great, battery is holding well even after installing all my usual apps from Google Play (about extra 12 in total), I stick with its standard settings for power saving and that does me well, it controls the brightness by light already in the room so at night I can look at it and not get blinded! This can be turned off of course. It has an extreme saving mode that puts the phone into a sort of retro mode where it shows very basic functions and graphics that hugely boost battery life, useful for hikers and long journey emergency use. Its menu is super simple and easy to edit to your preferences. It comes with a good number of attractive backgrounds to choose from. Useful torch and even an accurate compass! As standard its not over loaded with annoying apps you may not use, I was very happy with this as previous Samsung phones required a lot of updates for apps I never used and couldn't delete! Such power hungry annoyance I no longer have! As per usual it also has all the usual easy sync tools to bring everything from your old phone for convenience, notepad with reminder alert settings, calculator etc etc. A handy calendar setup for monthly, weekly or daily views including all the bank Holidays showing. An attractive phone and layout. Best phone purchase yet, a very happy new RealMe customer.

Terrific phone, beats more expensive ones hands down

Incredible phone. Just got my first Realme. A Realme 7 5g. Majority of reviews were incredible. I've had a lot of mobiles get 1 or 2 new ones each year. Had all the big brands but the past few years I've stuck to Xiaomi since I find now there's no need for flagships. This is an incredible phone. Best I've ever had. The battery is an absolute monster. I got 3 hours of screen on time with 20 percent battery with WiFi, GPS and 4g enabled. The camera is incredible colours pop (see attached kitty he's name is smudge). The 120hz screen is as smooth as butter. Best phone I've ever owned can't believe it's this price it's as fast and capable as phones worth 4 times its price and it's got a better battery than anything I've ever used

I am not a heavy phone user, this phone has a good processor for all the run of the mill apps like banking and booking. The 5G picked up as soon as I entered a 5G zone. I am very happy with the phone.

The phone is fine, make sure you can recive 5G. Like so many electronics gadgets it comes without a handbook. I would prefer not to print more than 200 pages of A4 foreign language. The leaflet that comes with the phone is useless.

I like everything at this phone, I did not use 5G at the moment and about this I can't say nothing.
