They come with a detachable cord. easy to use out of the box. They have a snug fit for passive sound isolation and minimal bleed. You get a balanced sound (not flat dead) where you can get the subtle nuances without over emphasizing a frequency over another. Great value for money.

Ces écouteurs sont simplement les meilleurs que j'ai eus au cours de mon existence. En les déballant, j'ai été surpris, très surpris même par leur grande qualité. Les coussinets sont douillets. Leur construction : first class ! Rien n'est laissé au hasard. Les cables : épais; en plus, il y a un dispositif pour le bloquer. Il fallait y penser. Une heureuse trouvaille Yamaha. Confortable ? Parfaitement. On ne les sent pas. Ils sont beaux, en plus. Musicalement, je les attendais au détour. J'en suis ravi. J'entends des instruments que je ne soupçonnais pas ou différemment. J'ai commencé avec Elvis puis Adriano Celentano. Tellement de présence ! Ces chanteurs étaient là; ils chantaient dans mon bureau. J'ai connu Yamaha autrefois avec un magnifique ampli le HA-6 qui est le coeur de mon système de son. Une pure merveille. Yamaha pousuit sa quête de perfection. Le prix est largement justifié pour ces écouteurs que je conseille aux amoureux de la musique, aux passionnés de belles voix, à ceux et celles qui désirent être séduits par les divers instruments qui composent nos orchestres, populaires et classiques. Et grâce à Piano Heritage, je les ai obtenus en deux jours. Merci !

The Yamaha HPH-MT8 Monitor Headphones, Black is a Good design, which developed and designed by excellent Yamaha designers. The unit sounds okay and well built from Taiwan a good technological nation in Asia. This is an average model not too costly like the flagship model of AKG that costs almost $2500. Taiwan nation makes much better headphones than China nation. The Klipsch headphones I purchased years ago at Best Buy Made in China is worst!, these headphones broke the "C"-shape part when used! Due to it made from cheap plastics! not stainless steel like the Yamaha HPH-MT8. Therefore, I would never buy headphones made in China anymore! Only in Japan, EU, USA headphones that commonly are high quality and high performance and durable ones.

These headphones are one of the best. It gives us even the minute details of a song. The only thing I disliked was the treble is little high which could be a problem for mixing but if you're a composer or a musician or for listening it would be great!
