Liberace was one of the most ostentatious pianists of all time and although far better known for his TV and live appearances his recordings are still sought after. This package features four of his original albums in stereo making their debut on CD and are full of his classical and pop interpretations and a rare live performance at London's Palladium. Don't be filled by the campy and theatrical performances as they are only a disguise for his remarkable talent. After all you don't get into the Guinness Book Of World Records for being the highest paid entertainer in the world for nothing!

Not what I expected
I'm sorry but I just wanted to listen to Liberace play the that's what led me to piano, not talk talk and not sing.

Nostalgia Played Me False A Bit
I start from being a 'fan' of Liberace. He showed phenomenal keyboard speed but he also showed musicality in the arrangements he selected to perform. I have vinyl of his I've played and replayed and I wanted to 'go digital' so I could hear him again and again. As with so many of his fans, I have seen him on TV and I have seen him 'live.' This set is of the young entertainer on TV. I had forgotten how 'talky' some of his presentations could be...and of course he was not much of a singer on the show. I have heard an astounding bootleg tape of him doing a spectacular job on an up-tempo number that was much better suited to his voice. His piano playing always showed a marvelous facility with rhythm so I was not totally surprised by the bootleg tune. (It was obviously a 'party piece' and was never intended for the public.) He could have had just as many fans if he had done more 'heartfelt' numbers like that! (No, there was no 'gay' aspect to this piece; just energetic and sincere musicianship.)

A must for all Liberace fans!
This is an absolutely beautiful CD, especially for all Liberace fans! The quality is good, and I received it in just a few days. I bought two and gave the other one to my 93 year old mother, and she is just thrilled with it, she plays it continuously!!! Thanks for bringing this to us.

LIBERACE TRIPLE TREAT!
This 4 albums on 2 cds collection has a lot of everything. Liberace plays, sings and even tap dances - of course you can't see him. My personal favorite was Liberace At The London Palladium-1960, his interaction with the audience and their participation made it really special!!

I have played this CD of Liberace many times and have enjoyed it each time. It is easy listening and enjoyable.He had a way with the piano that no one can be compared too. you won't be disappointed.

DECENT SELECTION OF TRACKS IN DECENT STEREO SOUND
Good selection of tracks and a decent transfer to CD. Recordings are stereo and mainly studio recordings. If you fancy a Liberace CD you really cannot go wrong with this double album. I own this CD and can thoroughly recommend it.

Sehr unterhaltsam
Ich habe diese CD für meinen Mann gekauft der gerne Klavier spielt. Wir sind beide begeistert von der Art, wie Liberace bekannte Melodien verändert, dass sie noch schöner klingen. Außerdem war er scheinbar ein sehr guter Entertainer - wir haben viel über seine Witze gelacht.
