You can't go wrong with Zebra brand gel pens. Nice and smooth and no mess or excess ink.

I love these pens. They are comfortable to hold & the ink flows smoothly without smudging. Also like having them be a retractable pen vs one with a cap as I find pens with caps usually end up losing their caps which is rather a pain. Highly recommend
