Great leather strop for serious sharpeners. Latigo leather strop is finished smooth on one side and natural fuzzy suede on the other. A companion nylon fabric strop is mounted in parallel, which is nice. You should use a fairly heavy hand when stropping (compared to bridle or other leathers). You don’t need diamond or carborundum paste, although I sometimes use 1 micron diamond spray/paste on other strops so it is optional if you like that approach. The handle and fasteners are of high quality and make for convenient mounting and removal from wall hook that you will purchase separately and mount in your preferred location (be sure to catch a stud). Short learning curve. Recommended especially for beginners. I have a really good strop that is >100 years old (yes, I collect sharpening tools). I think this one is better.

Super nice strop. I’m getting very clean shaves with this canvas and leather strop. It really maintains the blade well and the leather strop looks beautiful hanging in my bathroom. Huge upgrade from the $20 strop I was buying from a local beauty store that just disintegrated. (Note: I knicked the strop it did not come like that)

I love, love, love this leather strop. I like many others prefer to work with very sharp knives and this provides me with that. I am a Japanese knife snob, I have tried others but prefer their metal and edge to European or domestic knifes. This leather strop keeps the edge of my knifes scary sharp, it is also very easy to use as it is wide and long. I have tried other leather strops and they just didn't live up to the billing. I can tell this strop should last a nice long time, great quality, great product.

I purchased the Parker's red latigo strop. It shipped sealed in plastic and in a long box, so there was no damage from moisture, or from bending. I love the leather portion of the strop. It is wider than a straight razor, so stropping can be done with the full blade in contact with the leather. The strop is also long enough to use a full stroke each pass. The leather has a medium draw as received. The leather is a natural product, so do not expect the leather to be perfect. The back side of the leather is rougher than the face. That side can be used as well when refreshing the edge of a razor.The attention to detail is quite good. The hardware is high quality. The leather handles are a nice touch. I have not yet finalized my opinion on the poly web fabric portion of the strop. That is why I rated the strop a 4 rather than a 5. The weave is quite coarse, so stropping on the fabric is noisy. I plan to coat the back side of the fabric with green CromeOx for polishing. It should work well for that purpose. Because I also wanted to have a smoother fabric strop I purchased a plain weave 100% cotton placemat from a local store. I folded the placemat in thirds on the short dimension using a Z-fold and ironed the creases flat. I will load one side of that cotton strop with green ChromeOx and will use one side untreated. With this addition, all my razor stropping needs should be covered.

The strop is very well made, and in black and polished silver, is a beautiful addition to my wet shave setup. I haven't had need to exchange any parts, and given the quality of materials, probably won't for some time. But, the whole thing can be easily disassembled for replacement of any part with a flat-head screwdriver. Value, function, and beauty are all top-notch. It seems that there was a mistake on the part of Amazon, and I was initially shipped a previously returned item. Howie from the Parker distributor, Super Safety Razors, went above and beyond, reaching out and working with me directly to ensure that I received the item as intended. I use a Dovo razor, and this is wide enough to strop the razor without having to do an "x" pattern. Made in USA and very well constructed! This replaces three other strops I have had. Kurt

The spring loaded clip is nearly impossible to operate, literally painful to get the thing to open. The warming strop is nylon. Freaking nylon. Eighty dollars and they didn't use linen. The leather is good quality. At least that part is up to the price point. Not at all happy about the cut corners. But there are so few options for these.

What can you say about a strip of leather? Works as a stop should. Lot's of "runway" and wide enough to accommodate all of my collection. Outstanding quality without a ridiculous price tag.

High quality

Very good product. The leather on it is smooth and straight. I'd ordered one from another company and returned it because the leather had many bends in it. First time using the returned one and I ruined a blade. I've used this handmade one multiple times and have had great results. The secondary strap is made more of a nylon material that seems to "catch" the blade at times. I say this because of the sound it makes. It looks like I could easily replace it with more of a seat belt material if I can find some wide enough. It is good to know that I can maintain the razor's edge with this one. Overall I am very satisfied with it.

Good quality leather, good quality woven polypropylene and heavy duty clips and rings. The width is what makes this great for my straight razor. No more X patterns for me, just straight stropping.
