Great grain-free food, all three cats love it. No carageenan!
Switched to this from Merrick grain free chicken pate, due to our local store not carrying the brand any longer. Like that this has no carrageenan, and contains liver as well. Have older cats with digestive issues, as well as a young-un who is somewhat particular. Everybody likes this and the vomiting seems to have reduced some. Will probably combine with the turkey or duck flavor as well, for variation. As others have said, the volume and moisture content are somewhat variable, but I have found this to be the case with all Merrick canned cat food. It's only been drastic one time, where an entire case had cans less than half full. One email to Merrick and a coupon for a replacement case was in the mail. They have great customer service. I just add a bit more water if a particular can is "drier" than usual. The vet who did our oldest cat's radioiodine treatment suggested we add water to all wet food anyhow, as this is generally the only source of water for most cats. Unless you have a crazy like mine who drinks from her fountain multiple times daily. Keeps the kidneys functioning well.

My cats are so healthy on this food
My one cat has severe food allergies, and another has problems with grains. This food serves for all my cats. they all love the food, and I love not having the vet bills. It seems expensive at first, but my cats weigh between 9 and 11 pounds and they each only eat 1 can a day. They need less food because it is packed with nutrition instead of empty calories or bulky carbs. In the long run, it is more economical.

Merrick LTD.INGREDIENT (chicken)
I like the listed ingredients but neither cat will eat; even the 'garbage gut' cat will go hungry rather than eat this. However, it's one of the healthier cat foods out there so would still recommend to others.

Cans dented badly but food ok
Ok so food is what my cat has to eat because of the thyroid condition - I have used Merrick for a couple of years now. These cans showed up banged up and a couple were dented. Like really bad dents. Food inside seemed to be ok but looser then normal. Either way I got the specific cat food promptly and didn’t have to leave the house.

Great food, when they ship you the right product
One of my cats has food allergies, so both of my kitties have been eating this food for about 8 years now. They enjoy all the flavors, and I have been happy with buying it off Amazon, as I have had problems finding it in pet stores in the past (they had some supply issues).Unfortunately, with my last two orders of 24-packs of 5 oz. cans, I’ve been sent the smaller 24-pack of 2.8 oz cans for the price of the larger cans. They don’t accept returns on this item, so I end up with a refund (so free food), but not enough food to get my cats through a month. The 2.8 oz. 24-packs are being mislabeled as 5 oz. 24-packs.

Never had any problems; My cat enjoys it
I feed this to my non-picky 1.5 year old cat. Never found any plastic bits inside of the food, and I've never had any dented cans. I've tried the chicken and the duck now from the same brand. The chicken seemed to be better quality than the duck, but both were good.

Mislabeled packages or horrible recipe change!
My cat has been eating this limited ingredient chicken canned food but Merrick for 4 years. I've gotten 2 cases from Amazon and it smells like TUNA (my cat won't eat fish, and will ONLY eat the old version of this food). I've thrown away 2 full cases of this crap! I had 1 can of the prior order that smelled good... Like CHICKEN should! I checked the numbers on the bottom of the cans. The correct chicken version I ordered a couple months ago, the last 4 digits of the numbers on the bottom start with "33xx"... This tuna smelling crap... All the cans start with "14xx". I just went to PetSmart because my poor boy is hungry, and they had the "14xx," (yucky tuna crap) numbers on the bottom... I got some anyway out of desperation, but I KNEW I was going to get home and it'd be wrong, and sure enough it was.I don't know if they mislabeled thousands of cans as chicken when it's tuna, if there's something wrong with it, or if they changed the recipe.Whatever they did it's DISGUSTING and my cat won't go near it. For $60/case... They better get their act together... I'm calling Merrick tomorrow. I'm sick of wasting money and time chasing this product. I just saw some articles they sold to Purina. This is beyond frustrating. Unless it's figured out ASAP, I'm going to find my boy a better food, but finding something he'll eat is gonna be a challenge. This is all he's ever had... He doesn't like ANYTHING else. I'm pissed. And seeing others comments about it being made in China... Um, NO!

Canned cat food arrives with no dents, and impressive new packaging!!
I like the new packaging of the product. All the cans of Merrick wet cat food, grain free, limited ingredients were in perfect condition (no dents as in previous orders), so I hope this will continue.
