After searching the Whirlpool site for the correct part number of the pump for the model dishwasher, they wanted $300.00 for the pump. Searching Amazon, I found it for one third the price. Installation was easy (I watched several utube videos) and the new pump works perfectly.

These pumps are total junk. I have gone through two in 9 years and the third one was defective out of the box. I didn’t return it though. That would be much too inconvenient with the Thanksgiving holiday quickly approaching. Instead, I took the working parts from the old pump (electric motor) and the working parts of the new pump (pump mechanism) and combined them into a working pump. I am certain I voided the warranty but that was a better option than being without a dishwasher on Thanksgiving.

When the circulator pump on my dishwasher died, I wasn't too keen on replacing the whole pump/drain config, so I opted for just the circulator pump. Everything that I read said that this is that exact same for what I needed. The tab to lock it in place was a little bit of a pain because of how the bottom is designed, but once I finally got the tab in, everything hooked up without a problem. Everything is back to normal now.Just be aware that you'll need a plumbing crimp tool to lock it in place. Why they couldn't have used a standard screw-type clamp, I don't know, but I guess they have their reasons.

It works great but the only problem I had was getting it installed. All instructions show that it can be done with out taking out the whole unit but I had to take the main unit out of the system to get it to fit. Once it has worked without any problems. Saved me TONs of $$$

Part was exact match but there were some installation issues. It goes back on only one way, there are 2 hose connections that r obvious. However, the parts place it manufactures put the drain hose on backwards and I had no idea because both ends are so similar. It wasn’t till I fought those stupid ear clamps for an hour and leaked water after first trying it the way it came that I realized that the elbow bend in the hose wasn’t lining up properly. I thought it was something I wasn’t doing correctly. Once I took the hose off and flipped it around it lined up perfectly and all was good. But those ear clamps are a nightmare without the correct tool so be ware! Should have been a 30 minute job but took me 3 hours-Thanks manufacturing or parts company employee you screwed me good (:

I was replacing the pump and the water inlet valve on my old dishwasher, and when this arrived, you could not tell the difference between the old one and the new one. I would have had this on a Whirlpool dishwasher that was only about 8 years old. After the parts came in, I actually decided just to buy a new dishwasher. However, this was exactly like the one that was already on there, so I know it would ha e worked perfectly. Plus it was $90 cheaper than local, and $120 cheaper than name brand. Honestly, from what I found out, they're all made in the same place, just different labels put on them.

This is #3 pump. We will see how long this one lasts.
