Is this better than arnica?

I have never used arnica. I started using magnesium gel for my irregular heart beat. 70 to 80 percent of the population is deficient in magnesium so it is essential for health and the gel stopped my heart problem.

What is the shelf life of this gel?

The gel worked nicely, however I don't care for the oiliness of the product. I still have it and it seems to still work when I use it. I do not think the magnesium in the product goes bad. Its been way over a year I have had it.

Do you have to wash this off after you applie it?

You do not have to wash it off. This is fantastic for leg cramps!

does it hydrate/moisturize skin?

Ancient Minerals Magnesium Gel is a product I use for magnesium supplementation. The gel formula contains bio-active Aloe-Vera and is often used for massage because if is very effective for relief of aches and pain as well as relaxed muscles. In my opinion, I would say it does not moisturize even though it contains Aloe-Vera and it has a tendency to sometimes produce a white residue as it dries. I use the gel, massage it in, wait 20-25 minutes, then wash it off. I do not always use a moisture lotion after using this product, but it would be fine. This product is really good--it's primary purpose is for Magnesium supplementation (there is approximately 490 mg of elemental magnesium per teaspoon) and is a novel form (the gel) for massaging onto the skin and for the positive results of this.
