Don Francisco Coffee is the best for taste & favor .I love the Hazelnut but does not come in decaf. The ColumbianSupremo is also very good. When served to guest they always ask What brand of coffee is this ? I don't serve often because of the high price ,but sometimes it's worth it.

Being elderly, we need to drink half caff coffee. So the search for good flavor decaf continues. Amazon full bean decaf is quite good. Tried this Don Francisco brand today. Packaged in a steel can with a aluminum top seal, pulling that tab revealed a long-ago classic hiss. The Coffee was vacuum packed. Modern coffee is almost never vacuum packed in steel cans anymore - instead its flushed with dry nitrogen and sealed in multilayer foil bags. On the steel coffee can the company proudly indicates that they have been producing fine Columbian Coffee for over a century and have preserved the original methods including 100% Arabica High Quality Beans. The can, seal, vacuum packing then the aroma attests to their dedication to quality coffee. Having worked on some newer decaffeination processes, years ago and having tasted this coffee, I'm fairly sure Solvent Extraction is the method used to remove caffeine yet not the flavor. Many coffee producers have gone back to this method since the flavor is preferred and it keeps costs down. So if you are like us, needing to drink Half Caff, pairing this decaf with any premium ground coffee should produce a delightful drink. Keep your coffee tightly sealed in an opaque container at room temperature. Consider freezing whole beans for longer term storage. again, in an airtight container. AI just reminded me that storage in a fridge has some benefit, but frequent opening causes moisture to condense and speed up one process that produces Stale Coffee.

This is surprisingly good decaf! We typically drink Gevalia House Blend and wanted to start splitting with half decaf. Gevalia's decaf is not good. Don Francisco's is good cut in to half-caf, and it also makes a good stand-alone cup. I just did a manual drip cup to try it on its own. As others have mentioned, it tastes like caffeinated.

Pros/Cons: I love the aroma each morning as this brews in both the Decaf and the Caffeinated version. The strength is richly perfect, freshness is long lasting, and I have both on Subscribe and Save. Used to be a much more affordable value for the money both on Amazon and local grocery stores. Roast 100% Arabica ground coffee is my favorite and the acidity is average for coffee. It can cause our stomach to burn after drinking more than a 10 cup pot, but we stop drinking all types of coffee before noon to avoid that reaction. Nothing brightens our mornings as much as drinking a fresh pot of this flavor!

I’ve been drinking this brand on and off for quite awhile. I seem to always return to it after trying other brands “out of curiosity.” It has good, dependable coffee flavor and is very reasonably priced. It tastes particularly good when prepared with a French press.

Very good coffee. Strong and extremely flavorful. I like to mix it with a decaf hazelnut to really bring out the flavors of both. Great coffee I plan to order again.
