Incredible quality. A joy to use.
Incredible quality that you need to feel to believe. Perfectly balanced, incredibly smooth and razor sharp. Perfect straight cuts right to the tip of the blade. Glides through multiple layers of denim as easy as silk. The scissors have a very satisfying, smooth motion that is unparalleled. A joy to use.

These scissors have the best blades and smoothest cutting I've ever used in decades ...
These scissors have the best blades and smoothest cutting I've ever used in decades of sewing. HOWEVER the handles are huge. I have large hands for a woman (they'd be average for a man, size 9 gloves) and I can't begin to open them all the way. And it's a good thing the openings in the handles are also very large, because the inside of the thumb hole has a very rough, sharp mold edge. I'm going to pad them with silicon tape since there is plenty of room, and use them anyway, but the ridiculous size and sloppy finishing on the handle are a disappointment.

An excellent product that has all my co-workers in Rig Shop jealous.
I am a professional Rigger, meaning 100% of my paycheck comes from selling and splicing rope, and I use these every day, all day. I absolutely LOVE them. The D-20 Splicers are garbage by comparison. I love the power that the design creates, and the large openings that fit my hands, which as a big guy can be a problem, especially for my thumb. Again, I have to pull the D-20 Splicers off my thumb instead of just setting them down like I can do with my Kai's. And although I use my Myerchin Generation 2 Pro Wood Rig Knife for most Dyneema products, they cut through lines like Amsteel just fine. I can sharpen my Myerchin easier, however, so I save my Kai's for Sta-Set, 3 Strand and Mega Braid and related lines. An excellent product that has all my co-workers in Rig Shop jealous. If you in a profession that uses scissors, these are on a whole other level than anything I have ever used.

Check Your Series Number Carefully
This is a heads up to carefully inspect your shears to be sure you were sent the ones you paid for. I ordered the Kai 7250SE 10 Inch Serrated Professional Shears, but received the much cheaper 9.5" N5240 Dressmaking Shears. Not the same product at all and worth less than a third of the shears I ordered and was charged for. I am disappointed to say the least.

It's impossible to believe that there are any better scissors made
I have been sewing for over 50 years, always using professional scissors from good brands that I have regularly sharpened. I've been hearing about Kai scissors and thought I would get a large pair for cutting out after making a coat where my scissors seemed to be chewing the fabric. I asked for these for my birthday and they will be the gift that keeps on giving me pleasure for years. It's like night and day! These have nice long blades for the straight and curved cuts and when I have to cut around armholes I use the tips--about two inches worth--and they easily cut exactly on the line. They make me so HAPPY.
