KREGKPHA740 Plug Cutter Drill Guide Kit

This Kreg 720 Plug Cutter Drill Guide Kit would not attach to the 720PRO Clamp System due to ure quality control.Yes, I could have spent the time in order to isolate the reason for the snagging/mis-alignment but when paying good money for a product you expect it to be work.I also had to use the Kreg 720Pro's and Micro Guide's drill-bits in order to resize the respective Plastic channels beneath the metal guide bushing. The K4/K5 channels are Aluminum.I cannot say whether or not I would have had the same issue with Plug Cutter's Guide channel as it could not be attached to 720PRO but I would expect to encounter the same issue.Plastic components helps Kreg's bottom line but nothing for the durability of or confidence in their products.

I liked it was easy to set up and use. Definitely use a corded drill rather than a battery operated and make sure the drill is up to speed before engaging with the work surface. Some of the plugs didn't turn out but I was using cedar and that may have been a factor.

After buying Kreggs cheap plastic pocket hole jig I need to fill the pocket holes, every single filler broke when drilling cross grain. I don’t know how I’m going to complete my project and likely wasted several hundred dollars in white oak

When you need to finish the joinery this tool does it.

Always good to have an extra on hand, in case one is misplaced
