Good buy and worth it
Great design and quality materials. Fits well on the top tray table as intended. Even during some turbulence it held well and never shifted at all. The "jaw" part that clutches the phone is sturdy and has great size range. Only reason I didn't give 5 star is because I feel the jaw doesn't squeeze down and secure the phone as well as I'd hoped...it never fell but I can tell that as this gets used and used that it won't surprise me if doesn't do very well later and I fly a lot for my job. But certainly don't regret the purchase at all so far!

iPhone 6+ w/ Otterbox works!!
Love love love this!! I have been able to use this on a number of flights since I purchased it - it works wonderfully!! I have an iPhone 6+ in the biggest Otter Box case available as I'm always dropping my phone at work on the concrete. It holds my phone without any problems to watch my movies on the plane - as soon as I'm in that seat is out and I'm in business. As previous reviewers and inventor Gary have said it doesn't 'lock' your phone in - which to me is perfect!! I always pick an aisle seat because I'm up numerous times during a flight and often so are my neighbors so it makes it very easy to grab my phone and pull the lockjaww off of the tray table so everyone can pass without my phone being dropped to that nasty carpet and possibly sliding a row or two forward or aft. I have used the little additional piece a few times as well - when the tray tables were slender. I didn't mind at all because I keep the entire unit in the packaging it came in to keep it protected in my luggage, so I have it altogether anytime I need it. I agree that if you don't want to keep the packaging it is quite possible to misplace or lose that piece, so inventor Gary would it be possible to have a small carry cradle incorporated into one of the jaws for the additional piece? If you made the jaw a little thicker you could have a cut out that the piece slotted into - like the toothpick and tweezers of a Swiss army knife. People would still lose it, like the toothpick and tweezers, but at least it wouldn't be free floating for people that don't keep the packaging. I love that I can move the angle of my phone and tighten the screw so it will stay there - This really helps me from getting that 'crick' in my neck from having to stare at the tray table when lowered. Thanks inventor Gary!! This device rocks!! Everytime I'm on a flight someone always asks me about it. A number of my coworkers have purchased it as we fly all over the world. I think it would be great if you took your idea to an airline and suggested that they sell or rent them on a flight - or speak to a manufacturer and suggest they incorporate the concept into the aircraft design.

This was just ok...
Phone fell out twice during takeoff and a few times in flight during light turbulence. Doesn’t grip the phone hard enough. I bought 2 and both were the same.

Great travel gadget!
I travel quite a bit on planes and always carry my iPad Mini with me, this product is fantastic! It allows you to keep your hands free and elevates the iPad to a comfortable viewing position, and eliminates the need to put your tray table down cramping your leg space or allows you to use the tray for work while watching a movie. It attaches easily to the airline tray and is adjustable unlike other holders so it is very easy to adjust the angle when the person in front of you reclines their seat. A tip: If it is a little loose there is a spacer that is provided and I found putting the hanger clip near the tray latch gives it a little more stability if the fit is loose. I contacted the seller who was happy to supply an additional spacer. This product is very small and easy to carry; I keep mine in an old fabric sunglass bag in my carryon. I have had several people in nearby seats bent over their iPads and flight attendants ask where i got it. Another tip: Removing the sleep cover on your iPad case will allow for your iPad to sit a little further back in the clip and make it less likely jiggle loose during severe turbulence. I love travel gadgets and this is definitely one of my new favorites...nice to be able to fall asleep on long flights without worrying that my iPad will hit the floor when my grip loosens. I will definitely be ordering several more as gifts!

Great product
Great product, I've been looking for something like this for a long time so that my neck wouldn't hurt looking down and my arm wouldn't get tired holding the phone up. I use it with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with no problems.A few things that could make it even better:1. It would be great if the metal piece connecting the holder to the tray table could twist. I actually removed the screw, turned the piece around, and put the screw back in, this puts the phone a few more inches higher as I'm trying to get it eye-level. (See 4th picture)2. Put a some rubber around the edges so that when you're using it as a stand it doesn't slide around. Sitting on the train it moved quite a bit unless I was holding it down. (See 3rd picture)3. Somehow be able to attach the plastic piece for the smaller tray tables to the holder so that it doesn't get lost while not in use. It looks like there's a place for it but it doesn't stay there. (See 1st and 5th picture)The only thing I didn't like was that the screw looks like it has some surface rust and doesn't look as high quality as the rest of it. (See last picture)

Quite disappointed
The product is pretty much as described, except for the fact that the jaws aren't spring loaded. Consequently, I had to resort to using a rubber band to hold my phone within the device. Hmmm. I have only used this holder on one airline's seat tray and found that the device extended my phone uncomfortably close to me. This made viewing an image on my phone quite awkward. I would not recommend this phone holder. It was a great concept, but was poorly designed.
