What size rectangular labels for a professional looking fit? (Avoiding the neck of course, and a small gap in back would be nice.)

Max is probably 4.5" wide by 1.5" high. I had one that was 4.25" wide and it left a gap in back of 1/2 inch

Can they be put in freezer?

Liquid expansion will be the problem in the freezer - that will break most glass containers
