Wrong Pictures
I usually check the pictures of the product and they clearly mentioned it is UV/MG model but what i received was UV model only. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! But overall i did what it should do and it is well built and fast counting.

Be informed and KNOW what you are buying. Set proper expectations.
First off, Let me say that I am very satisfied with this Currency Counter. I have read many negative reviews in which people seem to expect way too much from a sub $300 machine. (Please don't hate me for this... Hang in there and keep reading...) If you REALLY need exact counterfeit detection, this is probably not the machine for you. If you are asking for it to count mixed bills, again, this is probably not the machine for you. You are setting your expectations too high. extremely high, I would say, and you are bound for disappointment. On the other hand, if all you want is a simple, YET effective bill counter then this is definitely the machine for you. This was my expectation and maybe that's why I am so satisfied with it. All I wanted was a "Simple" BILL counter, that would tell me how many bills it processed and I also wanted it to make stacks of 25 for me (as when making packets of $500 with all $20 dollar bills). It outperforms in all of this! So for those of you who require "MUCH" more may I suggest to you a super nice system? It is expensive though, but it is amazingly accurate and it is "Bank Grade". It is a machine by Cummins Allison, called the JetScan Money Counters & Currency Scanners. Be warned though, they are about $1,700! For those of you whom would love for it to do "Mixed" Bills? Ummmm, you're not going to have that for Sub $300.... eeem, You should go for the JetScan iFX Money Counting Machines again by Cummins Allison, and Uumm (Cough) they are about $2,700! So, the moral of this review is not to bash on anyone, but to properly inform. Let's take everything constructively. So I repeat, SET your expectations appropriately. You get what you pay for.

Limited trial but worked great!
We only did a quick check on the unit but it worked flawlessly on the bills we had on hand. It's primary use will be at an annual charity event where we process a lot of currency over a 2 day period. Hopefully this will eliminate a lot of hand counting late at night. I was impressed at how the Cassida handled worn bills without hassle. We have high expectations for it at next year's event. UPDATED: We used this to count the proceeds from a weekend event. Over the weekend we counted over $30,000 several times as the cash flowed through various stages of the ticket sales and end of day activities. All of the cash was recounted just prior to bank deposit. We never once experienced a problem with the counting process. We used to count by hand. This year with the bill counter was a breeze compared to before. It even handles some of the more worn bills better than the expensive bill counter the bank used to accept our deposit. Again, this only counts bills. It does not know what denomination the bills are so you have to presort the currency into 1's, 5's, 10's etc. But once that is done, the counting is very very easy and fast.

Works accurately and fun to use - helps with clipping packets
This machine is very fast, handles folded wrinkled currency beyond my expectations, buttons are easy to understand, and UV counterfeit detector barely works at all. Personal checks are the same size as currency and most (but not all) pass through without a counterfeit alarm. Operator tells machine what denomination is to be counted. Make sure there is not an odd bill in the stack. The machine counts number of bills and shows dollar amount. It will display a running total after each batch if the add feature is turned on. To paperclip fives into packs of 20, enter 20, and lower a large stack of fives to the convenient horizontal feed hopper. In a flash the lower hopper will have 20 fives in it and stop. Remove the 20 fives and in a flash the lower hopper will have another 20 fives in it. This is our first currency counter and have been using for a month since purchase. I doubt I could have made a better selection since it does everything I expected but better (e.g. lack of jamming, ridiculously fast, easy to carry with handle, clear button controls, easy to load). It saves time, assures accuracy, and reduces the stress of uncertainty. It is fun to use.

long lasting!!
I got this currency counter and brought it to Tanzania where I live and run a restaurant and green grocer. The currency here is not all the same size and we use 220v power, so I decided to buy this counter. I love this machine! I tell my staff, out of all of the computers, kitchen and service equipment we have, this silly little counter saves me more time than all the rest! Our currency is 2300 to the USD today, so we have a lot of notes to count with the largest denomination being only 10,000. If the notes are brand new and stiff, they can get stuck, but honestly I have no complaints. Great product at a great price. Its five years in the tropics and still running strong.
