I've owned this can opener for 7 years it has been fabulous! Easy to clean, easy to use. Looks great on my countertop. Its heavy and well made. I'm sure it will last another 7 years as it still looks new. Definitely worth the money as I don't think I will ever have to buy another.

The very best can opener I've ever had. Easy to use, very smooth. Didn't wobble and was very stable. Easy on arthritis, great size and sharp.

It really opens large cans! I have bought 4 different can openers in the last 2 years, trying to find one that would actually open large cans without acting like it is going to die or having to switch to a hand can opener. With arthritis in my hands a hand can opener is not a viable option. This one really does open big cans and without alot of noise. It is worth every penny. Looks nice too.

Bought this model November 30, last year, and by June, it no longer worked. When I got it, I tried to register it, but when I clicked on the "Next" button (I think it said "Next", but it was a button to go to the next step), it just cleared the fields and stayed there. I tried several times, but finally quit. What the heck, it was a Cuisinart; what could go wrong. We have a food processor that is over 20 years old, and my wife considered Cuisinart the top of the line. We bought a Cuisinart wine bottle opener, and it works great, but now I wonder how long it will last. (I will wait a while before I recommend or write a review of this one, if I do. Something has to really great or really bad for me to remark about it.) Well, anyway, the can opener stopped working; the handle is loose. The black plastic visible when the handle is detached for cleaning, is loose so the the handle is loose, and there is no way to tighten it. My wife and I have an empty nest, so it is not being used by children, and we are careful with out equipment. It has not been dropped and treated roughly. It is just engineered poorly and/or uses inferior materials. When it worked, it worked great. Easy to use, and about as automatic as it gets, but it did not last, and without being able to register it, the chance of getting it fixed are nil. I cannot recommend it. We've been using a old-fashion opener for the time being, but I will have to find something easy and reliable for the home.

Electric can openers, in general, are a problem. Either their wheel-knives don't function adequately, or they are very fussy in alignment. This cuisinart has good alignment bars, and also a strong motor, such that it will not stall out on heavy-duty lids, as I have encountered on similar products. Recommended.

This was a replacement can opener for another name brand; it opens a variety of sizes of canned goods quickly and completely. Nice looking stainless matt finish and looks sleek on my cabinet.

I purchased as I have other Cuisinart products and like it. At first it’s bigger than I thought, taller than my other model, and heavier. It feels solid and industrial, rather than plasticky which is good. It does come with a US plug, and its US voltage. This was not mentioned or realised until I received it. So if to work in the UK may need a voltage converter, not a travel plug. I’m told this should work. The seller was also very good with communication and being helpful which is a bonus.
