Star Anise is probably my favorite herb. For one, it just looks cool. The taste is phenomenal; I love mixing it with horehound and a bit of mint for tea. This Star Anise is a great quality. It's very fresh and the smell is wonderful. I bought a small bag to sample to see the quality before committing to a larger bag. It was a good value for the quality. The health benefits of Star Anise are quite impressive and lengthy.

Excellent quality, fresh, many whole pieces. The best I’ve tried. Used for holidays in cider—also use in green tee for a little extra flavor.

Smells like black licorice! Used for an elderberry tincture/elixr. (Along with Brandy, Everclear, ginger root, and honey) My husband got a sore throat and cough, and he could feel relief (for about 8 hours) after taking 4ml of the mixture.

Make your own Chinese 5-spice. Surprisingly great add to fried fish batter.

I use these when making stovetop simmering. Smell delicious!
