Great value. Thought the plastic would look cheap at this price but it's doesn't. It's a nice matt black satin finish and the face looks like strips of imitation wood. The front is covered with good quality perspex which is very clear but could be prone to scratches if mistreated. I might actually see if this can be removed to get rid of reflections but there's nothing at all wrong with it. Terrific value and no more ticking! Comes well packed.

Got this for my son for his office at a new job. He leans towards kitchy, but I told him he needed a good looking, grown up clock! He loved this. It has an "I've made it" look. Silent operation is good too. Would buy it again.

I've owned a lot of wall clocks over the years, but this one is the best wall clock yet. The second hand glides around the face without any jerkiness and it is completely silent. I use this one in my home-office lab to get accurate ambient temperature readings for experiments. Being somewhat unaware of the passage of time (and days ;-) ) while working intently, the large, easy-to-read digital day and date display keeps me from making embarrassing mistakes on lab notes, meeting appointments, etc. Being an older engineer, I always appreciate a good analog clock face. The ratio of hand length (often not thought out well by other low cost clock designers) and appropriately large font make me enjoy this clock every time that I look at it. Sorry to gush about a simple wall clock, but this is definitely a winner!
