NO FEAR of puddles!!!
***UPDATE 6/16/18 Finally got to test these out. Went out in the rain with my frogg toggs Men's Waterproof Ultra-Lite2 Suit, Bright Yellow frogg toggs Men's Waterproof Ultra-Lite2 Suit, Bright Yellow, L and hit every puddle I could find on top of being just out in the rain. Worked like a charm. Went on a trip to a store and decided that because these were so easy to put on an off, so could a thief so I took them off and locked them up with my bike. (I have a Tigr lock, so no cable TIGR mini Lightweight Titanium Bicycle Lock & Mounting Clip ). When it was time to go, both of these went on in about 20 seconds. Really. Kept me dry. No splatter. My shoes were even protected. Buy them! ==================== These are the fenders that I've been searching for over the last five years. I don't know how my otherwise incredible searching skills missed these, but this is the real deal. I've been looking for fenders that would of course, keep me dryer in rain, namely keep the splatter stripe off of my back and off of my shoes and legs from the front tires. These do the job. The length of the fenders contribute to the effectiveness as well as the flaps on the ends. I've also been wanting fenders that can be easily put on and taken off. I don't want to ride with fenders on when the weather is good. Here in Arizona, the weather is mostly good for cycling all year round. These do the job. They are easily put on and taken off. Takes about 10 to 15 seconds for both of them. Initial installation and fitting was easy. It took about 15 or 20 minutes to get them adjusted. Construction is excellent. Fit is great. And I am really pleased with the price.

Awesome fenders- best in class
Awesome fenders! I love SKS products for the balance of style and function and durability. I looked at a dozen different fixed and attachable fenders for my hybrid bike online and in local bike shops. I landed on these and no regrets. The SKS Raceblade Pro XLs offer the best balance of coverage, strength, quietness, and adjustability. The fenders are nice high end quality and cover all the right areas. The tunability to customize to your bike is cool though you should plan to spend 10 minutes setting it up the first time. The ability to remove these is both a blessing and curse as I do worry about someone walking off with them. Goes on and off in under a minute, and then like most good security products, you never know it’s there while you’re riding.

Works but takes some time to setup
Product works well for my 700x38, wouldn’t go bigger then 38’s though. The front fender was pretty easy for my giant revolt gravel bike but the rear took a bit of trial and error to get it right. Once it was set though it was good and I completed a 150+ mile gravel trip with them with no issues.

SKS Raceblade Pro XL are Fantastic, Quiet, and Well Made
I just received my SKS Raceblade Pro XL fenders today. I am a full-time bicycle commuter (about 10 years around the country) in San Antonio and we generally don't get consistent rain like you might in the winter in Seattle. I have purchased more fenders than I want to admit -they ain't cheap. The Raceblade Pro's appealed to me as I know SKS makes good stuff. Also, wanted the "temporary" fender as I hate installing and removing the permanent fenders as it is a pain in the rump to stick my hands into difficult spots and manipulate a tool. The Raceblade was a solid piece of engineering. The plastic/rubber portion that attaches to the frame with a high quality rubber band is quite good. I installed them in about 20 minutes (although it will be much faster now that I have them dialed in. You can move the stays up and down a bit to create clearance over the wheel and angle the fender in whichever position is best for your bike. I did a test ride with the fenders. ZERO noise. Awesome. My last (permanent) fender rattled and drove me nuts. Tomorrow, it is supposed to rain. I plan on riding to see how they work. Perfect fenders have a greater coverage over the wheel typical to a permanent fender. That could be a concern in heavy rain with these slighly smaller coverage fenders. I will update this review as needed down the road as my experience with the fenders is more robust. SKS also includes four tiny screws that you can use to screw from the tireside up into the black plastic "struts" that connect the fender. This will allow you to make the adjustment and then "freeze" them in the best position with the screw. I ride a 58cc Cross Bike designed primarily for riding/commuting. I ride Gatorskin (28s) for reference. I have added some photos to better show the set-up. I could probably reduce the clearance between my tire and fender. Will ride to see how current clearance works out. I purchased the 28-32 size fenders and it was a perfect fit. The photos from the top of the bike are to show how low profile the fenders are. UPDATE: Went for a 15 mile ride on 23 Dec 17. The fenders were great. Absolutely zero noise or rattling around. I completely forgot they were on my bike. So far really like them.

Easy to install and they work fantastic
For the past three years I have been riding my bike rain or shine to go to work. My commute about 25 miles round trip each day. I ride a Specialized Roubaix with 28mm tires. I love the way my bike looks and I did not want to take away from it's beauty by placing fenders on my bike, but then I saw someone riding with these SKS RaceBlade Pro XL fenders and thought they looked pretty good. After hearing that guy talk about how awesome it is to have fenders on I thought I'd give them a try this winter. I did my research and decided to try the SKS RaceBlade Pro fenders. Fitting the fenders was pretty easy. I do have a bike stand so that does help, but it isn't needed. The geometry on my Roubaix put the front fender very close to the body and I actually had to breakout shave off a little of the excess plastic on the fender (the plastic cover for the metal that holds the fender to the front fork) to get the fender to fit properly. This may sound complicated, but it was easy and I only had to take off a little plastic to get the clearance. I have no tire rub at all. The only issue I have is with the front fender, but I think that has to do with the geometry of my bike, but when I try to track stand at a traffic light I can tend to hit the fender with my foot. After riding several weeks with the fenders I have gotten used to them and I no longer have an issue, but it was something I had to deal with. Once fitted the fenders come off and go back on pretty easy. I trimmed off some excess rubber from the fenders once fitted to make them more aero (aero fenders are the best). Front fender issues aside, the back fender has had no trouble or adjustments to my riding style needed. For the love of all that is good and precious in this world please go get a set of these and at least put on the rear fender. Do this for your fellow cyclists, those wheel suckers, those tired friends, and those lowly commuters just trying to get home a little quicker. And if that is not enough of a reason to put on at least the back fender, do it for your backside, do it for your pants, your jersey, and your backpack (if you have one).

Very well designed and made, but..
I was a little annoyed that I received a set that had obviously been sold before and tried out. The fenders weren't attached in the display box as they should have been, they seemed to have a little dust/dirt on them, the adjusting bolt heads had evidence of the installation allen wrench being used and slipping, and the screws that were supposed to be included were not. The rear one was scuffed on the surface as well. However, they were usable and not really damaged enough to return. They took a little longer to get installed and adjusted than I thought it would take. But, it wasn't difficult at all. The instructions weren't too helpful, but it wasn't rocket science anyway. My first ride with them installed yesterday went very well. There was absolutely no evidence that they were even there while riding. No rattles, rubbing on tires, or squeaks, and they remained solidly in place. While riding, since the front fender ends behind the fork, you can't even see them unless you're looking down at your pedals and see the front one. I might have detected a little wind resistance, but it might just have been that it was a cold day and I was feeling stressed from that instead. To try to make re-install easier, I've put small pieces of tape on my forks and seat stay to show the correct position for clamping back on next time. Although, they may stay on for the entire winter. Definitely recommended for those who don't have the threaded attachment points for fenders. And, I think the bike actually looks very nice with them installed. Nice full coverage, but pretty inconspicuous.

Great set of commuter mudguards that don't look too dorky
These are great! They fit onto my disc brake cross bike with little issue. One big thing I did have to do was pop off the little cable/hose guide on the front fork since it sat right where the the fender mounts would go. Fortunately it wasn't bonded with the carbon so it just came off with a flathead. You'll need to budget about 30 minutes to install these since it takes a while to adjust the spacing to make sure the fenders sit at the right height and angle above your wheels. But once you get that then they're quite stiff (they don't rattle around) and you can mount and remove them as often as you need since they're only held on with rubber straps.

Decent removable, clip on fenders. Front fender is too short for real rainy rides, though.
EDIT: After a few month and quite a few rain/storm rides - status update: - the rubber that keeps the fenders on keep requiring more and more stretching to keep them on, I suspect its going to break eventually. Since its been used for about 30 rides total, I feel like this part is weak and breaks prematurely (this happens on both fenders, so its just weak rubber) - I noticed the front fender is not long enough. depending on your speed, tires, and amount of rain its going to splash back in your face. I duct-taped an extension made out of a bottle which made that a lot better. That's kind of a deal breaker though at nearly 60USD in my opinion (so removed one star). Original review: I took a chance on these, and I'm not disappointed - though they aren't as good as dedicated fenders, they do come close enough. I installed them on a 56cm cross bike (ie with quite a bit spacing front/back). Now if you wonder, this is not for racing obviously. I like that I can put them on if I commute in the rain/wet and take them off for other things. Or even keep em on for a run in the wet mud when I don't want to spend ages washing myself, the bike and my clothes. Pros - They're not really flimsy contrarily to what I've read. They also don't slip. I've a cross bike and when I push hard, my disk brakes start rubbing. The fenders did not rub anywhere. Not when pushing, not when jumping, not when bunny hopping, not when cornering, never. Maybe people have really flimsy frames ... or them set up too close to the tires (i have 1cm clearance as per instructions, which is a little less than half an inch). Also, do make sure the rubber elastics are tight! - They're easy to put on and remove, so you don't have to leave em on. Takes me about 20s. - They cover a large area of the wheel front/back, much larger area than traditional "clip ons" - They look pretty good, specially once I painted the struts black ;-) - They come with good clear tape to protect your frame were you install them Cons: - I still get sprayed a little more than with dedicated fenders. Mainly this is because dedicated fenders are a little bit closer to the tire, and cover even more area. That said, the coverage is more than acceptable and better than every single " regular clip on" fender I've used before, by a large enough margin. - I'm unsure how long the rubber elastics will last, but I'm fairly sure they'll eventually fail. - Setup is a little finicky, took me longer than I expected - though once done it's fine. Make sure the fender is perfectly straight when you install it, even if that means unscrewing, readjusting, re-screwing, or you'll run into issues and wont have good coverage. Finally - I would recommend these if you're looking for road or cross bike front-rear fenders, that will accommodate tires of almost any size (I'd say up to 38C). Ive searched quite a bit, and as of late-2016, there isn't anything better - and these are better than what I've read about them!
