I was impressed with the heavy duty construction of this mount and the relative ease of installing. Things were a bit tight and I hurt my hand trying to slide some parts. However, in hind sight I am glad that they fit tight and next time I'll wear gloves. Good value. Good mount. I am using with a 70" Vizio. No problem installing at all.

Dropped and damaged my TV - Atdec offered me $1500 not to tell anyone
WEAK CLAMP DESIGNAs others have noted, the clamps are an extremely weak point in this mount's design. The clamp holds together the two halves of the telescoping rod, but there's no "lock" to hold the rod position in place. That means that the clamp must squeeze hard enough to support the full weight of the TV.In my case, the clamp gave out after just under two years of installation. I tried to rotate the TV but forgot to unlock the rotator lock. Instead of holding in place, the telescoping rod lost its grip and dropped my TV to the floor, popping the screen out of its frame and cracking the glass on the edge.I admit that I was partially at fault for attempting to rotate the TV before unlocking the rotator, but I applied only a few pounds of pressure before the clamp completely gave way. Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the accident.SUPPORTI contacted Atdec support about the damage. To their credit, they responded promptly and took the issue seriously. They concluded that the damage was due to an installation error because I had not loosened the upper screws around the clamps before installing the mount. However, the instructions included with my mount never instructed me to loosen the clamp's upper screws.ATDEC'S SETTLEMENT OFFERAtdec offered me $750 toward the purchase of a new TV under the condition that I keep their offer a secret and refrain from posting negative product reviews of the mount online. I felt that others deserved to know about the danger of Atdec's flawed design, so I told them that I refused to sign an agreement that prevented me from discussing the issue publicly. In response, Atdec doubled their offer to $1500, which I also declined.FINAL THOUGHTSThe clamp is the weak link in this mount's design. It relies on force directed horizontally to support the TV's downward weight. Atdec should discontinue this design and replace it with a mechanism that locks the telescoping rod's height in place with direct vertical force rather than relying on horizontal clamps and screws that can loosen over time.

Top-Notch, Works Well, Five Stars...with one minor quibble
Sturdy, easy to install, works exactly as intended.Only one teeny-tiny gripe: the lug bolt / nuts & bolt hardware for assembling the telehook are all bright, shiny, attention-attracting silvery-finished. What would be better would be some flat black hardware to match the flat black finish of the rest of the telehook. The flat black (actually, matte) finish for the hardware would be better because it would help the telehook "disappear" into the backgrouind behind the TV it holds. It bugs me just a little bit...and I may have to go at that offending silver-finished hardware with some flat black paint to correct it.That's a small quibble, I know...but with the apparent sturdiness and attention to detail evident in the rest of the telehook, it just seemed silly to not go with black hardware to match.Would we buy this again, in spite of the silver hardware? Absolutely, this item is an outstanding bargain.

5 Star Product!
Arrived on time, and well packaged. The instructions are easy to understand and precise. The unit itself is extremely sturdy, and well made. When you install it, you'll understand that this product was well thought out. Supports my 65" Samsung w/ sound bar easily. I can rotate the TV with one finger. My needs only require 180 degree rotation but I see no reason why I couldn't rotate fully 360 degrees. Tilting the unit will take some adjustment, loosening and tightening of screws but that's not an issue for me. I'm currently running 3 HDMI cables, power extension cord, and IR input cable through the cable management port on the unit. Fantastic cable management. I had my doubts about ceiling mounting my system, but not anymore. No doubt it's pricey, but considering it's holding roughly 3500 bucks of electronics??? Worth it! More then happy! Would absolutely highly recommend.

It didn’t come with all the attachments shown in the video. Very disappointed
The video shows different pole lengths, that’s not the case

Great product
I was a little nervous buying this in hanging my 85 inch TV from it but it is very well made and very strong and heavy it's made out of good material. If you want something that's not like anybody else's house this is the way to go you can make it whatever level you want or what other height you want and yes you can put up to a 85" in on this if it's not over a hundred pounds.

Sturdy and looks good.
This thing is built like a tank. Did the install solo and was a bit worried since I wasn't sure what was directly above the drywall and the manual only talks about timber and masonry ceilings. Luckily the lags included were looking enough to latch onto the subfloor, heh. I cork do pullups on the thing, so i think it will hold the led TV and sound bar. So for initial quality I think five stars is fair, though would do 4.5 if I could as it is quite a bit expensive compared to the competition.

Try something else
Not the easiest in tall process. So many different screws and options which is nice but can get overwhelming. Pivoting or turning the screen is not easy to do. Also pitch and angle could be better, very limited. Make sure you are committed to put a ceiling mount, it's a lot of work of you are adding it on to an existing area. Easier if ther is no drywall up yet.

A well conceived and excellent quality TV mount. Installation instructions were also very clear.
A well conceived and excellent quality TV mount. Installation instructions were also very clear. Unlike the vast majority of mounts, this one is actually attractive looking too!
