My dogs love this food
My dogs love this food. I have tried them on three of the flavors and discovered a fourth I am getting this weekend. I'm sure they will love it as much as the others. They have an uncle allergic to grains and we were warned it could come up in our pair. We found this to be the best deal for any of the grain free foods that have a variety of flavors available to keep them interested and happy. Pellets are small enough to be good for smaller dogs, not just larger ones like some. My furrbabies are only 13 lbs and they frequently share with the cats. Nutritionally, I was told my nursing female would triple her food intake or need a puppy food to handle needs while actively feeding babies. I did not see this with this food. I provided the puppy food equivalent, but she didn't need it. She only doubled her intake. This food was more than enough nutritionally for her and her babies. If you have a dog that truly has a grain allergy, don't just evaluate the food. Our male had a reaction in spite of this food. Then we discovered we were feeding them treats with grains. Once we switched the treats, symptoms disappeared. Don't blame the food too soon. This food is awesome! The price is even better.

dog loves it
My 2 yr old shepherd/lab mix has EPI so finding a dogfood that she likes and I can afford is everything to me! The grain free is just what the doctor ordered. Literally. The stuff he wrote a prescription for was $150!!!! Ummm....he has lost his mind for sure. The enzymes I have to put on top of her food 20 minutes before she eats it is $158 a month. Could you imagine that?!! The forums online talked about this brand of dogfood almost everywhere I searched. I decided to give it a try. I am ecstatic my girl loves it. I mix a bit of cooked burger, a little rice, and zucchini and carrots and my girl gobbles it up! She will eat it plain but this is more what her system needs now that we've gotten her condition under control a year after diagnosis. It's just a superior product compared to others on the market. I've tried them all. Recommend

My pup Brandy has an incredibly sensitive stomach and most foods give her the grumbles in her belly. I tried this food because the other one I have been using was getting old and after years of the same food, needed a change. I have to report in that although I am still in the transitional phase of changing foods...no grumbles and my girl is excited to eat again! Yay! Taste of the Wild!!! :)

I have a healthy happy dog.
After trying all sorts of "high quality" supposedly grain free dog foods my dog was still having major allergy issues. I decided to try the Wild Boar version of this after reading lots of info on it and of course every ingredient in it. I'm happy to say after two months of eating this brand he is significantly better. He isn't itching all the time any more or licking constantly, the bad breath is almost gone, the gas is as well, and the bad skin odor is completely gone. When the extreme shedding has ended I will be completely happy but I think that and his sore ears are going thing to clear up. I also supplement with a daily pro-biotic and a little olive oil. I did find that he liked this food so well that he wanted to eat more than the recommended amount. I found myself giving in and feeding him too much. Even at that the bag lasted longer than his other brand (I*ms) of the same size. I have cut back to the recommended amount by feeding twice a day, he's happy, I'm happy and this bag will last and cost less than the other brand and will make him healthier.

Quality
We adopted this little guy Jackson at 6 weeks old. He was allergic to every food you can imagine, he didn't do well on prescription formulas , he just didn't like them. As a last resort I bought a bag if this at my hardware store, lol. He is finally thriving at 5 months old , no more waking every hour with a messy crate , in fact his stools firmed right up. He's energetic, happy and his coat is so soft , it was dry and dull. My Rottweilers are on this now as well and beautiful soft shiny coats. We are Happy, Happy!

Good quality dog food
This is a good quality dog food. My dog is very picky. She did like it at first, but them lost interest in it like most of the dog foods I have given her. My only complaint, is that it does not always seem to be in stock.

I have two Jack Russells, one of which has a particularly sensitive stomach, and food that’s too rich just doesn’t agree with him. Having had both my dogs on various different types of kibble over the years, most recently the excellent Acana Wild Prairie, I thought I’d try something else and various posters on the canine forums suggested Taste of the Wild dog food, which I hadn’t actually heard of. Some also suggested a spoonful of bran every day, so with that in mind I moved my dogs to Taste of the Wild Southwest Canyon in combination with some bog-standard wheat bran. The list of ingredients in Southwest Canyon was a factor in my choice as it contains zero grains, a good dose of fruits and vegetables, and quite a lot in the way of vitamins, including various B vitamins, vitamin D and folic acid. And although the kibble seems slightly smaller than Acana, it’s harder and my dogs have to crunch through it rather than swallowing it whole, as was sometimes the case. Both dogs wolf it down enthusiastically each time they’re given it, and often look for more once their bowls are empty. I’m not sure if it’s the size or constitution of Southwest Canyon (or just the bran) but, in the month or so that they’ve been on the new diet, my dogs’ stool has become much firmer than it ever was previously. I haven’t noticed any change in their disposition or overall health, but neither was ever a problem for me, and they seem as energetic and healthy as ever. They still get the odd upset stomach, but I’m pretty confident I can attribute this to those (very occasional) days when they get a meat meal rather than kibble. As an aside, I also tried them on Taste of the Wild’s Pacific Stream kibble, which seemed just as good for them but which they didn’t scoff with quite the same level of interest. That’s not necessarily a criticism of the food, but my dogs love fish and seafood-based kibble so I was surprised that they weren’t as keen on it as the meat variety.
