Installation Wand LH-18800 Christmas Light Pole Hanger

I was skeptical about this product after reading the reviews but I went ahead & bought one. Let me tell you: this made it sooooo incredibly easy to hang the outside Christmas lights on our house. We don't have a pool skimmer so I screwed it onto the push broom handle & it worked great! Definitely going in my Christmas box for next year.

Fits firmly and easily to an extension poll and I'm able to hang lights on a hook at a tall peak then along more hooks sloping downwards. However, as others have stated, the hook is very shallow and the metal is slippery so lights fall off easily. Worked much better after spraying with Plastic Dip but that is really something the manufacturer should have done.

Purchased this to attach to my swimming pool pole and it works like a champ. I was able to hang my Christmas lights with only this, my extendable pool pole (using the clevis pin to attach) and a standard 6 foot ladder. I was able to hang the lights over 18 ft high! Great product. It is made of plastic, so I recommend using care when setting this down on the ground, etc.

Product is built well, VERY hard to use for Christmas lights, hook area isn't designed well, the surface is to slippery and the strands immediately slide off, this being "Pro" was a disappointment, I had to take pliers and make my own hook configuration. Would not buy again.

Works fine. Greatly simplified and negated the need to climb the roof to take down the lights. I was able to take down the lights in what seemed like seconds. I didn't have this tool when I installed the lights so I'm not sure yet how it will work but it's already worth it cuz the take down is so easy.

Don't bother purchasing this. The bend in the hook is neither deep enough nor wide enough to effectively hold the strand on while trying to put the lights on the trees. Hubs used it for about 5 minutes and said "No way." I then went into the garage and rigged up a very effective "hook" with upside down pruning shears taped to a painter's rod so that the V of the handles made the hook. He used that and told me it was perfect. This solution worked perfectly and made short work of putting up the lights and also taking them down. If only he had listened to me in the first place about doing it this way instead of insisting on buying something. LOL. Returning for a refund.
